Cassidys POV
I woke up in my car.
It was parked in the same place it was when I freaked out last night. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and turned the keys in the ignition.
My car started with a loud roar and I began driving home. I turned the radio on, mostly because I couldn't stand the silence anymore.
We Don't Have to Dance by Andy Black came on and I began quietly humming along.
About half an hour of driving went by, and I finally pulled into the apartment garage.
I got in the elevator and then walked up to the door.
I opened it quietly and quickly. I really didn't want Crystal to know I was home. I wasn't ready for the conversation of what happened last night yet.
I snuck in quietly and quickly ran to my
room, shutting the door behind me, without a sound.A couple of minutes passed and I heard Crystal and Sam get home. I think Colby must be out with Brennen or something.
I put my face up against the door, attempting to listen to their conversation.
"Honestly, she just acting really weird" I heard Crystal say as she puts some things on the bench
"Maybe she is just stressed. I mean, she's probably really tense with Colby on her case" Sam replied, trying to defend me. He is really sweet.
"That's no excuse. She's just... such a headache" Crystal says, and my heart sank. Maybe I really did just ruin her life.
Their conversation carried on, but I couldn't hear it. The last sentence was drowning everything else as it replayed in my head.
I collapsed on my bed. I could feel tears dwelling.
Maybe Colby was right. Crystal really did hate me. I called her last night because I was in such a bad place. And she didn't even care.
****
I walked out of my room and was greeted by Colby, Crystal and Sam sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Cassidy? When did you get home?" Crystal questions as she looks at me confused.
"A while ago" I say stuffing things in my bag angrily
"Well you could of told us!" She says with frustration in her voice.
I stop and turn to her with a glare.
"Oh sorry Crystal! I just didn't want to be such a headache to you!" I retort before grabbing my bag and walking out. Slamming the door loudly behind me.
I didn't know where to go. I was so lost. Everyone I thought was my friend, have left me.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and scrolled through my contacts for someone to call.
I decided to call Brennen. He was so nice at the party.
Brennen: "Whats up? This is Brennen"
Cassidy: "Brennen, its Cassidy. I-I need help" I say, not holding back the tears
Brennen: "Omg Cass! What's wrong?"
Cassidy: "I-I have no where to stay, and no one to be friends with"
Brennen: "I'm on my way! Are you at the apartment?"
