The last couple of days, my mind has been in a spin. I think I have a crush on Colby.
No!
No! I can't!
He's my rival, my enemy, the other side to my war.
But he's so cute and funny.
Don't think that way!
Ugh!!! Colby! Why am I so in love with you?!?

"So, what should we do tonight?" Sam questions as we sit around a table at Starbucks for breakfast
"Brennen is holding a New Years Eve party. We could go to that?" Colby suggested
I don't know who Brennen was but Colby was always hanging out with him. They must be really good friends.
"Yeah, I'm down" Crystal says and I nod in agreement
"Cool"

It was 7:56 pm and I was ready to get my party on.
"Ready to go?" Sam says as we wait at the door for Crystal and Colby together
"Yeah, I have been for about an hour now" I say giggling
"Hahaha"
A few minutes of silence pass before both Colby and Crystal walk out dressed nicely. Finally everyone else was ready to go.
We get in my car since I'm the only one with a car at the moment and we pull out of the driveway.
"Colby can you give me directions to Brennens house?" I say looking in the back at him.
"Oh it's not at his house, it's at a roof top night club type thing. His friend who works there loaned out to him" Colby responded
"Oh ok, can you give me the directions there then?"
"Yup" he says handing me his phone with google maps open

We pull up to the nightclub and music from the top was already pumping loudly through our LA streets
"Wow, loud" Crystal comments as we all stare up
"Come on" Colby says leading the way into the building.

Several hours had passed and I had met Brennen, drank a beer, danced, met some other YouTubers and talked to Crystal.
I checked my phone, it was 11 minutes till midnight. I decide to go find Crystal the others so we can celebrate it together.
"Hey Brennen, have you seen Crystal?"
"Yeah she over by the bar with Colby" he replies still dancing heavily to the loud music
"Oh thanks!" I yell over the noise before heading in the direction of the bar.

"5. 4. 3. 2. 1! HAPPY NEW YEARS!!" Everyone yells in unison as I continue squeezing through the crowd trying to find a familiar face.
Then I saw it.
Colby with his lips pressing deeply into Crystals.
I know this shouldn't bother me, but I felt anger brewing in the deepest crevices of my heart.
How could he? How could she? How could they?!?!
I was pissed, but I had no idea why. It almost felt like I was... Jealous?
No!
It couldn't be
Why would I be jealous of that?!?
I told you heart! I can't like Colby! He's a dick to me, remember?!?
I felt weird and confused
Like a child looking for their mom
Like a victim looking for answers
Like a puppy looking for home
I felt like I was gonna pass out. My head was spinning 100 miles an hour. I felt sick and dizzy.
I stumbled out onto the dance floor and I suddenly feel a hand grab my shoulder roughly.
I turned around expecting Crystal or Sam but it was a stranger who reeked of Vodka.
"Hey sexy! How about spending New Years with me" he slurs out
"No thanks!" I say sternly, inforcing my opinion
"Come on baby, New Years shouldn't be spent alone" he gives me a scary grin that rattles me
"I SAID GET AWAY YOU PSYCHO!" I scream getting the attention of almost everyone around me.
Everyone looks at me confused as I storm off the dance floor and out of the night club. I walk out to my car pissed off and upset.
I fumble through my bag for my keys and eventually find them at the bottom.
I was drunk, hurt, confused and unstable. Getting behind the wheel now would be a big mistake...
