Alarms. Alarms were ringing loudly.
The city that was usually gray and quiet was now filled with screams and crying. It had other colors dominating it, including reds, yellows and orange.
Fire.
So much fire.
What even happened?
The girl walked out of the house, seeing everything that she once knew crash down. She didn't know what was going on.
Her brown eyes were shocked as she saw everything before her.
Humans biting other humans. Their eyes glowed bright colors as they bit down on another's person's flesh. The bright colors ranged from red and yellow to orange and purple.Their crazed expressions didn't seem human. Grins from ear to ear, as their mouths were painted red from the skin they torn.
They didn't seem human, they gave off oddly animalistic vibes. Like they weren't even controlling their actions. You could hit them the same way multiple times, and they'd still get up and try to kill you.
Those weren't humans, the girl thought. Those... Monsters wouldn't die. They didn't even kill everyone they would start attacking. It's like when they lose interest, they'd go on someone else. They'd just appear in front someone else, not even letting them scream. Their speed couldn't even be visible.
The girl started shaking in fear as her mind started to comprehend what was happening. It was all too scary.
She was only sixteen and without her parents in the moment. She didn't know what she should do, so she just tried to close the door.
Something stopped her. A hand.
A hand that seemed to have claw like nails. The nails were digging into her door. The girl let out a scream, knowing what happened and tried to close the door, hitting the hand with the closest object she had.
It wouldn't budge and soon enough the door was completely open. It seemed like it was playing with her, making her think she even had a chance of escaping.
The humanlike monster was standing at her doorway, looking at her with an eerie grin. All of them had grins.
She started shaking as she was frozen in place. She didn't know what could even happen if she moved.
She could only look in the creatures pale purple eyes. The eyes didn't have emotions, they seemed very empty, but they gave off a very weird glow. There was something haunting about them. Like she'd never forget them.
She really didn't wanna die. The girl let tears fall out of her face, as she could not comprehend the moment or the amount of fear she felt. She wished her parents were here to protect her, but they were no where in sight. They were in a completely other country, probably safe and sound.
As soon as the creature gave a hint about moving, it was shot in the head. It fell to the ground, it's body twitching in an unnatural way.
A man came inside, wearing special clothes. It seemed as if though he was part of the security or the military.
"Come on, kid!" He yelled and beckoned her to come to him.
She could only nod in fright as she barely stood up.She has never seen anything like this happening. She went outside and felt a completely different air than usual.
It was hot, uncomfortable and it was so hard to breathe. She felt as if it was a bit hotter that she couldn't even breathe. She saw smoke around her, and even more blood.
Dead people everywhere. Most of them seemed either murdered like they were played with. Just like a cat played with a mouse before killing it. The other bodies seemed to die out of bleeding, which didn't make things any lighter.
That wasn't the most disturbing part. The disturbing part were the people on the floor screaming for help as they bleed from fresh wounds.
The black haired girl could only run past them, resisting the urge to throw up as much as she could.
Next to her was always the man who saved her, staying very close and saving as much people as he could. It looked like he was very eager to save as much as people as possible, while carrying the ones who couldn't walk.
She saw more men dressed like him, in green fire proofed outfits and masks. All of them were doing the same job.
They drove all of the survivors to something that looked like a huge truck. They put them inside lightly, moving the injured in a special one.
She got inside the one where there were healthy people as she was requested. She sat down next to an old lady, looking at the floor.
She still was in a loss of words. She hoped all of this was a dream and that none of this has actually happened. She hoped it was just cause of the stupid zombie movies she used to watch with her friends.
But she did feel weird for having such a realistic nightmare.
The truck drove quickly, as if it was hurrying somewhere. Probably hurrying to get them to safety. The door was soon opened and they were rushed out of it to a huge shelter.
She was pulled aside by some other men, talking about kids going to a separate room. She completely forgot she was considered a child.
She was put with many other children, ranging from six to eighteen. She sat down on the floor, trying to block out all the noise she heard from crying children.
She wanted to block herself out. This all was too much for her to handle. She was just... A child.
"Name and surname?" A man came with a paper."What do you need it for?" The black haired girl asked, almost looking angry to be asked such a question.
"I just need it, kid. We're in a hurry." The man returned an equally annoyed voice.
"Miki Satoko..." She said with a sigh, seeing how this wasn't the time for this.
She didn't have to give out her name for no reason, but this was an exception.
The man nodded and wrote her name down. He continued going around writing down kid's names, having troubles with the younger ones.
Satoko was trying to think about what even happened now. What were those creatures?
She sighed to herself again.
She didn't know what could happen to her now since her parents weren't here...
