Ayase shook as she noticed what was happening. The warm body of her brother was on top of her, blood dripping from his head, onto her face, neck and shoulders. He didn't get up, and his face was stuck in a very lifeless expression. His dark green eyes just stared blankly.
She wanted to stand up, but he was too heavy to even get off of her. The more she tried, the more unstable she became, screaming his name over and over again, in hopes he was just injured. Those screams quickly turned into screams of terror and shock, as it was very hard for her to comprehend that someone who was always in her life was now gone. Someone who gave her hope, someone who always protected her...
Soon, the body was pushed away from her. Well, kicked away. She screamed again, not liking the way her brother was treated. The man that kicked him was unknown. The had black hair, grey eyes and was in general dressed in all grey. It was probably someone from The City Fighters.
He pulled her up by her shirt, very close to him. He did all of this very fast. The next thing she knew was she had something very cold on her head. A gun.
"Shoot or the next leader goes." The man proclaimed, his voice icy.
He looked at everyone quite thoroughly, trying to back away with Ayase as a hostage. He went by, passing the place where all the men were, also known as a safe spot. But the man didn't know about the secret passage way he was passing by. She saw Teruo, hiding in it. She knew where to look. He shot him, but he twitched his head so he missed. He only let Ayase go for a split second.
"NO! JUST LET ME DIE!" She screamed.
Ayase felt hopeless. She didn't even try to fight back. It's not like she could. She was always useless. Even now she proved herself as useless. Without Naoki here, how was she supposed to live? He was her only protector. He didn't deserve to die.
"I'll save you this time too." Teruo aimed the gun at the man's head.
"N-No! Please... Daremon!" She yelled out, somehow knowing that would work.
He stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening. His head started hurting.
Nanowa Daremon...
That was his name. He knew it was his name. It felt right, but... His head hurt so much from it. A very sharp pain. He opened his eyes and he saw Ayase. He tried moving towards her, but his vision became blurry. It was like he felt a wall fall over his eyelids that blinded him. But something came. The same conversation he could barely remember.
He stood in a room, two people looking at him in horror. One was a black haired female and the other was a very tall man.
"How could you kill that boy? Why did you do that? Why?" the woman yelled at the young Teruo.
"I... I didn't want to! I was just defending myself!" He tried to explain, tears coming out of his eyes.
"If you only were a normal child! Why can't you just calm yourself? It's your fault." The man yelled at him.
"Dad, I don't want to do it! Please forgive me!" Teruo yelled, his voice cracking.
He was only eleven years old and this type of stuff had to happen. He got scared when he saw other people come. A man that was even taller than his father, and one who looked only twenty one years old. The two of them looked oddly familiar, but the most striking resemblance were their eyes.
"We have nothing to do with that child. He's a monster." His father told the two men coldly.
"Dad, please! Don't get rid of me!" He screamed, clinging onto his dad's shirt.
"Don't talk to him like that! He's still our child!" His mother tried, her blue eyes filled with sadness and tears.
"We can't save him with kindness, Nasei. He's only good for fights." He looked at his child, giving him a slight look of regret.
"I don't want to go with these scary people! Please!" He tried once more, but his parents didn't quite look like they were listening to him.
"How about we teach you a lesson, kid? Disrespecting us is something you shouldn't get away with so easily. Come with us." the older man pulled him by the hand, dragging him away.
"We love you! There was no other way to save you!" His mom yelled as she got dragged out of the room by the other men.
"We'll just erase all of your memories. You'll do better without them. I'm just making you better." the taller man told the boy.
"He's just a worthless little kid. Let him die. He won't do The White Walls any good." One of the men grumbled.
"Don't! He'll do whatever you want. He's a really obedient kid." His father proclaimed in fear.
"I don't care about the little kid's discipline. He'll do whatever I want when I get done with him. His strength is something I can't miss out on." The taller man, who seemed to be the leader of this group, grinned.
"Naoki, go get the machine for erasing memories." The leader ordered the younger man.
"Yes, father." He ran and got the helmet like machine.
"Leave now." The leader demanded.
His father gulped as he went away hesitantly, leaving his son.
"Dad, please!"
" What should we name him?" The leader laughed as if he was talking about a new pet.
"It doesn't really matter. What was his name?" Naoki questioned.
He got a punch by his dad. Naoki only gulped and got up from the floor, wiping his bloody nose. He was dumb for asking stupid questions.
"It doesn't even matter who he is..." He turned on the machine by pressing a small red button on the side of the helmet.
"... You are nobody now..."
