Naoki grouped the people with care and ease. He just looked at their faces, trying to decipher what some of them would be good at. If there was anything problematic in the future, he could easily change the groups up. He was sure at his skills.
Although, when he saw his sister and Satoko, he didn't think as much. There shouldn't be any problems here. This should be perfect. No mistakes, no bad things happening.
He knew he should put the two girls together. Satoko was trained well, and he knew he would give her life to protect Ayase. So Satoko was a must for this operation. He could rely on the girl.
But who else to put?
He thought and thought. It must be males. All of the girls here looked very weak. He remembered a good candidate.
"You two, together." He told Satoko and Ayase.
Ayase smiled at this, Satoko looked in suspicion, as if she was questioning what he was doing.
"Tsukamoto, here." Naoki gave orders to the youngest member of the gang.
The boy was only sixteen, yet he was one of the most capable members of the gang. He was trained in several martial arts, possessed the strength of someone who was trained twice as much as him, knew how to shoot properly and most importantly had the wits to match every physical capability. He admired the boy. Tsukamoto Teruo was one of a kind, and for him to be in this gang was such a honor. He was extremely loyal as well, to match every quality given here. A true prodigy indeed, even his father was grateful for having him.
The boy walked next to the girls, his head high and his chest out. He had black hair and light green eyes, his skin was tanned and his built was very muscular, as much as a teenager can be muscular. Even though he was so muscular, his height was barely average, although that may again be something connected to the fact he was still a kid, even though no one treated him like one.
Ayase and Satoko eyed him weirdly. Of course, looking at him like a child wanting to act like an adult. Satoko was caught with the same expression, wondering what Naoki was planning with this group.
Naoki looked around the group of people even more. Who else was here? And then he saw someone that really did stand out.
White hair, red eyes, tall, strong build. He almost resembled a demon. They made eye contact. Such... Demonic eyes. Naoki liked him. He seemed like he could protect them, like he wasn't a wuss.
"You." He told him as he got to him.
"Me?" The guy asked, pointing at himself in confusion.
He was awkward, Naoki could tell, but his strength would come to good use anyway.
"Your name please." Naoki said, although there was no politeness in the word please.
He didn't believe he finally met someone taller than him. Maybe that's why he was so frightening.
"Akiyama Shiro." The guy stated, feeling awkward saying his name.
Naoki grinned a bit in amusement. Shiro just glared.
"That's fitting..." He really couldn't resist not to laugh slightly, for Shiro meant white in Japanese.
"I get that a lot..." Shiro mumbled to himself in annoyance, really hating that name.
"In that group." Naoki pointed toward the almost completely made group, deciding to let the joke aside.
Satoko got surprised as she saw him. Oddly enough, he seemed so unreal that she thought she had dreamed their whole encounter. She couldn't help but to stare at him as he walked near him.
"What?" He asked, sounding very annoyed.
She looked at him in confusion once again. It looked like his whole demeanor changed. He was much less awkward, looking just plainly annoyed even being here. All of his confusion was gone and it was replaced with a serious bitch face. Was this even the same person?
"You just look different." Satoko commented, not getting annoyed at the sudden change.
"So what if I am..." The white haired guy grumbled.
Satoko rolled her eyes. He was really annoying. She disliked him so much already. Everyone in this group seemed overly serious, and she knew Ayase would talk to everyone a lot, leaving her alone. She will die of boredom here. She cursed Naoki, she knew damn well why he was doing this. For their protection, well, more for Ayase's protection.
Another member came, which she was greatly surprised for. He didn't even look like someone who could protect them.
It was a girl, flat but a bit taller than usual. Her blonde hair was curly as all hell and her eyes were colored a baby blue color. She had a cute little beauty mark near her lip, and her pale skin made it even more noticeable. She looked even smaller in those oversized clothes. She never seen such a beautiful girl. She felt oddly jealous, wanting to be able to pull off that level of cuteness and pureness.
"He's kind of cute." Ayase whispered to Satoko.
"Yeah, she really is." Satoko said in admiration.
The girl came and opened her mouth. Satoko got slapped in the face, as she noticed why Ayase said he. It was a guy. The most beautiful and feminine guy she ever met, but it sure was a guy.
"I hope we can make this group work!" He said brightly.
Satoko looked bewildered. Even his acting was feminine, more than hers will ever be. Even his voice, that was oddly manly, had a smooth and charming tone to it.
But how was he so beautiful?
"Am I the only one who missed the gender?" Satoko whispered to the people close to her.
"... You're really not the only one." Shiro mumbled, looking as bewildered as her.
"You're just jealous cause every guy in this group is more feminine than you." Ayase told her and punched her arm lightly.
"H-Hey!" Shiro said, seeming offended at the comment.
"It wasn't meant to insult you." Ayase told him, getting a bit surprised she finally saw a guy who was taller than her.
"O-oh..." He mumbled out in confusion.
"I knew that!" Shiro yelled awkwardly, not really fooling anyone.
And Satoko smiled now. This seemed more like the guy who she saw. Confused and... Kind of cute. She mentally slapped herself. No time for those thoughts now.
"Don't worry, you can always look at me and feel full of testosterone." The boy, who was called Seto Benjiro, replied with quite odd humor.
For some reason, Ayase laughed at it. Satoko sighed. She really did have dumb humor.
"Have these guns. In case demons come. Tsukamoto knows how to work with them, he'll show you." Naoki gave them some guns which some of them didn't know what they did.
Holy water, Satoko and Ayase knew. Benjiro was inspecting the item, looking fascinated by it. The only one who seemed like he didn't know what it was exactly was Shiro.
"Now, follow me to the east side of the woods, that's where you'll be starting." Naoki said as the groups started following him.
The work there wasn't very easy, not to mention dangerous. Well, they did sign up for this...
