Loud yelling noises were heard from living room. The little Yui just looked at the two people arguing, not knowing what to do. She was only a child, she didn't even know how to react. Her only reaction was being sad that mom and dad were so loud and fighting. They were just making her brother very sad and scared. She felt scared too.
Her little brother held her hand, both of them sitting on the floor. He was crying, not liking the loud noise. Somehow, even if he was so little, he could understand the fight was about him. It hurt, he could only cry. Yui yelled for them to stop multiple times, but she just got ignored by the older people.
"How could you do this?!" Satoko yelled, her voice cracking.
"How was I supposed to know that the kid would end up being a demon?!" He yelled back, but more on the defensive side.
"It's your fault! We'll get reported, we'll get killed off, our kids will get killed off!" She screamed, getting in his face.
"Get away from me!" He pushed her aside.
He didn't like her stance about this. She was getting so angry and worked up and in his face. It was making him feel uncomfortable and fidgety. Nervous and paranoid. Paranoid. Nervous. Angry. Rage.
"You fucked up!" She yelled again, not letting go.
Rage. Paranoid. Nervous.
"SHUT UP!" Shiro yelled, grabbing his head.
He was getting dizzy, his gaze was only focused on Satoko while everything else was blurry. He felt weird, so many feelings rushing at once. He felt guilty, angry at himself, yet at the same time at Satoko. He didn't want to explode. But his cheeks were getting hot, his teeth gritting, his hands clenching. He dug his nails in his palms until they bled, wanting to control himself, but Satoko just wouldn't back down.
"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ME TO SHUT UP! YOU'RE THE ONE THA-" And she was cut off by something that surprised her.
Shiro kicked her. She laid on the floor, her eyes wide. It didn't hurt yet. The feelings didn't sink it. She clammed up inside herself, losing all the rage she had in an instant. Only fear of what he could do to her or her kids.
"Shut the fuck up! I didn't do anything! Stop attacking me, Satoko!" He just kept kicking and kicking.
Satoko looked at him with her brown eyes. She got frightened as soon as she saw his eyes. He was gone. His eyes were pure neon red, glowing and angry. His face wasn't acting human, it was almost an animal like growl. She should've backed down. She was just scared of the law and police, yet he kept filling her head with stupid hope. It was dumb, yet she couldn't control herself from exploding.
"S-Stop...!" She yelped out, but this time he kicked her in the face.
"You didn't listen to me when I told you to stop, so why should I?!" He kicked her once more, this time making a cut on her face.
The sight of blood made their older child react. She went in front of her mom, worried about the blood going out of the wound on her face. She knelt, getting in her father's way. Satoko got scared, thinking he was going to do something to Yui too. She was in the way after all.
He did raise his leg to kick her. Yui heard his walks and turned around to see what was going on. As soon as Yui's eyes looked at his, he stood frozen. Somehow he couldn't move at all. He could only stare at her identical eyes. The fear she had made him feel something. Guilt.
Shiro's eyes turned normal, his facial expression softening. But somehow, as soon as he got a clearer sight of what's in front of him, he got shocked. He looked at his arms and legs. How could he do this? He loved her.
"Why?" The little girl asked, sadness and fear obvious in her voice.
Somehow that part was what made this the hardest. He didn't want his kids to be scared of him any less than his wife. But seeing her scared face, that innocent little face, made him feel even worse.
When he saw Satoko, pain obvious on her face, trying to stand up, it hurt him. She fell back down, her body shaking in pain and fear. Her eyes were wide, as if the shock of the incident didn't pass. She didn't utter out a word, even though her mouth was slightly open. Only her unstable breathing was heard, along with the little Saito's crying.
Shiro went to Satoko, seeing she was trying to stand up again. He offered a hand, but she flinched on the raising of the hand, her face getting terrified. He moved his hand away, noticing her traumatized reaction. He felt terribly guilty. She only looked down, as if she was ashamed she even reacted like that. Like she shouldn't react so badly if she loved him.
"S-Satoko, I'm so sorry!" He said after trying to find his words.
Somehow, this was so bad that he had problems finding the right words for the situation. It was just so hard seeing her bleed from the cheek, knowing it was his fault she was bleeding in the first place. He promised he'd never hurt her, yet somehow he couldn't be more direct about it.
"I-It's okay. I'm fine. Just go get a bandage..." She smiled at him, sitting down next to Saito.
The kid hugged her tightly, as if he was glad she was safe and sound. Both of the kids gave Shiro looks of caution, as if he was a very obvious threat. He only gulped, going to find the bandage.
This was too far. He couldn't bare it anymore. He only hurt her, she got scared of him. It would only get worse from now on. He can't do this anymore. He couldn't control himself. He beat her. Something he never wanted to do. He couldn't bare himself anymore. Shiro just hated himself, his demon self and everything about it. He was a disgusting animal, everything would be better when he goes away...
...Or just kills himself off.
