When I walked to work maybe a week later, I started to notice fairy lights dottet across the windows of people's homes, and Christmassy decorations all over the place.
It was weird how the festive season had managed to creep up on me like that.

Because after checking the date, it appeared that Christmas was a mere rough two weeks away.
It made me freak out a little, because I wasn't sure what I was going to do.
Should I get presents for Matt and Danny? And if so, what would I get?

Besides, I didn't know if I was visiting my mom and brother or if I was going to stay here, either.

I decided to think about it later as I entered "Deadly Whiskeyhands" through the backdoor, dropping my things in the break room before I went behind the bar.

Karin greeted me with a smile, "Hey, Finn."

I returned the smile, "When's your shift over tonight?"

"In an hour. You'll be all alone tonight, sorry."

I sighed, but settled for a shrug, "I'll manage."

I went to work and did what I always did until the bar started emptying. I was the last one to leave and close up at around six.
I was exhausted and very much ready to go home and sleep.

---

When I woke up in the morning it was to Caleb shaking my shoulder. He was saying something and he sounded excited, but I didn't quite catch what exactly it was.
I tried to hit him, but he was probably dodging me since my hand never actually made contact with him.

"Go away!"

"No! We need to go shopping. Matt made some breakfast, let's go!"

I turned around and buried my face in the pillow.
"Fuck off!" I groaned.

Next thing I knew, Caleb was yanking my blanket off of me and pulling at my leg to get me to leave the bed.

"Which part of 'fuck off' did you not understand?!" I snapped, finally looking up to see Caleb staring at me, an amused smile on his lips.

He snatched my pillow away from me before I could lay down again, "I don't know. The part where you said 'fuck off'?"

I whined and gave him a pleading look, "Caleb, I need more than three hours of sleep. Please just let me sleep. I came home at like seven last night."

"Well, suck it up, buttercup," he shrugged, dropping my pillow and blanket on the floor, "Let's go."

"Over my dead body," I snorted and closed my eyes again.

I shrieked when I felt Caleb's arms go around my back and legs and he picked me up like I weighed nothing.

"Let me go!" I demanded, hitting his chest with balled up fists to no avail.

"Your wish is my command," he dropped me on the pile of blanket and pillow next to the bed and I groaned.

"I hate you so much."

"Lying makes you go to hell," he replied sweetly, "So get dressed."

I decided it wasn't worth arguing anymore because Caleb always got his way. So I heaved myself up with a groan and rubbed my eyes as I stretched.

I got dressed, all while Caleb watched to make sure I didn't go back to bed.

When I was done he escorted me into the kitchen where he made me eat some surprisingly good scrambled eggs and bacon.

"Matt, I didn't know you could cook that well! You've just been letting me make food all this time?"

The red head just shrugged with a mischievous smile, and subtly slipped out of the kitchen, his arm around Danny's waist.
