Things were good, and for once in my life, the positives truly outweighed the negatives.
And it seemed that for probably the first time ever, the good streak was continuing.

Caleb and I barely fought anymore, Milo was growing rapidly and loved going out with us. We were on good terms with Matt and Danny. It sounded cliché, but everything was perfect. Just... perfect.

"Damn, why is it so cold out?" said Caleb, shuddering as we stepped back into the house with Milo in tow, "Isn't it supposed to be spring now?" We had just come back from our morning walk, and it really had been surprisingly cold for a sunny day in April.

I just chuckled in response and unhooked Milo's leash from his collar. He quickly followed us into the kitchen to hastily drink out of his water bowl.

"Ugh, I so don't want to go to work today," my boyfriend groaned. massaging his forehead with his knuckles.

"Aw, you'll get through it," I smiled, "What do you want for dinner?"

"Hm... how about some curry?"

"Your wish is my command," I muttered, tilting my head up slightly to press a soft kiss to Caleb's chin.

"Did I ever tell you..." he smiled and took my hands in his, "how much I love you?"

"You might've mentioned it," I replied cheekily.

"Alright," he said, still smiling at me, "I should get going."

I nodded and let go of his hands, following him to the door, where he changed his shoes and picked up his briefcase.

"See you later, babe," Caleb said and leaned down slightly to kiss me.

"Yeah," I said and Caleb closed the door behind him.

I still couldn't believe that this whole thing was something that was happening. But I was unbelievably glad that it was.

It was probably around 3pm when Matt and Danny entered the house. I was sitting on the couch and when I saw the huge smile on Danny's face, I asked: "What are you guys so happy about?"

"Guess what we just did," asked Danny as he sat down next to me, still smiling.

I looked at him questioningly, "Something nasty?"

"No!" he exclaimed, immediately starting to blush.

"We just went and looked at an apartment," Matt finally revealed.

I gasped, "No way! Did you like it?"

"Well yeah," he replied, "but I think we'll keep looking just a little more and check out some other options."

"Yeah, that makes sense," I said, "but what am I gonna do when you guys move out? I'll miss you so much."

"Aw," Danny looked at me with his puppy dog eyes, "we'll miss you too. But it's not like we're moving to another country."

I just nodded and gave him a smile. It was gonna be real weird without them.

Caleb's reaction to the news was a lot less heartwarming.

"So you're finally gonna stop leeching off of me, huh? Thank God," was all he said after he'd come home and we'd filled him in on their future plans.

"You mean being your live-in emotional support friends? You're welcome, by the way," joked Matt and we all had to laugh.

We were all watching TV when my phone suddenly began to ring. It even startled me - no one really called me except Caleb and my mom.
