Fourty Three

"Please. Please don't die." Jhoana beg.

"Jhoana, right?"

Jho nodded while crying.

"I'm really sorry this has to be done." Jho said.

"I know. Baka ito talaga ang destiny ko." She chuckled.

"I have a favor to ask. I know we're strangers. We're even enemies pero I can see the kindness in you. I can see innocence in your eyes, the genuineness. Please look after my bestfriend.."

Jho wake up and breathe heavily. She clutched her chest as she try to erase even the slightest thought of her dream.

"Jho? Ok ka lang?"

Jho looked at Jia, who's on her bed trying to fight her sleepiness.

"Oo." She shortly answered.

Napabangon si Jia and looked at her friend.

"Tulog ka na ulit. I'm fine." Jho assured her and smiled.

When she was sure her friend's back to sleep, Jhoana went to the rooftop of their dorm.

She leaned on the railings, closed her eyes and breathe.

No, she didn't kill someone.

She is worst than that.

She may not be imprisoned.

But she can't escape her guilt and conscience.

She asks herself

When will she be truly honest with Bea?

Jhoana shook her head and wiped her tears.

Jho have been following Bea's pace for an hour now. Bukod sa hindi siya makafocus sa ginagawa nito, nagtataka siya kung bakit hindi man lang siya pansinin ni Bea kahit bigyan ng isang sulyap lang.

"Ok lang naman kami kagabi ah." She whispered.

Nilibot niya ang kanyang tingin. Everyone's busy on their laptops and phones.

"Still no tracks on Nico?" Bea asked.

They're in the conference room now, trying to plan on how to catch Nico.

"Wala. No signs in internet, walang bahid ang mga usual places niya." Tyler answered.

"Even in his friends and other co-agents places, wala rin." Miguel added.

"I tried to ask in our old agency, they just said that Nico asked for a break." Sabi naman ni Deanna.

"Yeah but that's tricky because they might be lying." Mika said.

"Good point." Bea said while tapping her ballpen in her head.

"Saan siya huling nakita? Have you checked kung nakaalis siya ng bansa?" She asked.

"I've already checked pero wala pa rin." Jho said.

Even with Jho talking, hindi pa rin tumingin sa kanyang direction si Bea.

"According to sources, nakita siyang paalis ng bahay niya sa Laguna last last week." Jho added.

"We know Nico. He's good at this, hiding, having a plan, surprises." Sabi ni Jia.

Lahat napatingin sakanya.

"Sure he is. You were even involved the last time." Bea whispered the last sentence.
