-Flashback-

"Isabel! You're so careless talaga. Look oh, may sugat ka nanaman sa tuhod." I laughed at my bestfriend's reaction. Naout of balance kasi ako habang gamit ang motor ni kuya kaya naman nagkasugat ako sa tuhod.

Hinila niya ako papunta sa sofa sa kwarto ko at chineck ang sugat ko.

"Sino ba talagang mas matanda sa'tin, ha?" Sabi ko nang tinanggal ko ang kamay niya sa tuhod ko at tumayo.

"Umupo ka nga, ginagamot ko pa lang 'yang sugat mo eh." Inis niyang sabi at hinila nanaman ako para umupo sa sofa.

"Ikaw nga ang matanda, ikaw naman 'tong inaalagaan. Hindi ba dapat baligtad?" Natawa naman ulit ako sa sinabi niya kasi that's the truth, I'm the older one but she's more mature than me. She's the one who takes care of me and looks after me, things that I should be the one who does.

"Eh you're such a good kid kasi." I said.

"And you're such a rebel." Sabi niya at tinignan ako ng masama.

"Yas! To balance things." I reasoned out.

"Ah so sinasadya mong maging sakit ng ulo ko." Diniinan naman niya ang paglinis sa sugat ko kaya pinalo ko ang kamay niya.

"Hay nako, Madelaine. You don't need do this for me, I'm already 14!"

"Oh bakit akala mo gusto kong maging baby sitter mo lagi? Kung hindi ka lang ibinilin ng parents mo sa'kin eh."

My parents are not in the country kasi. They are busy with establishing our business abroad. It's our first time to expand that's why sobrang tinututukan nila ito. I am left here in the Philippines with Kuya Loel and Maddie.

"You took my parents' bilin so seriously. At wag ka nga kahit hindi sinabi 'yun ng parents ko, sobrang OA ka pa rin sa'kin." Inilagay ko ang kamay ko sa noo niya na kanina pa nakakunot at minasahe ito. "It's because you love me." I continued.

"Oo na!" Pinalo niya ang sugat ko kaya napa-aray ako sa sakit. "But seriously, you should learn how to take care of yourself, paano pag wala na ako?" She said while she finds something in my cabinet.

"Okay lang 'yan, I know you won't leave me naman eh." I answered.

She looked at me and smiled. "That we don't know, there are things that meant to happen at wala na tayong control doon." I looked at her confused.

-End of flashback-

There are things that meant to happen.

She said that as if she already knew that she'd leave me.

I closed my eyes as I remember my bestfriend. Hay, Maddie.

My thoughts were dismissed nang tawagin ako ni coach dahil it's my turn na sa spiking drills.

We're having our last training before our exhibition game later.

"Bea! More power!"

"Faster, Bea."

Those were some comments from Coach Tai and Ate Ly while we were practicing.

"You're off. Are you ok?" Jhoana asked as she tapped my shoulder.

"Yeah, wala lang sa focus." I answered.

The training lasted for two hours then coach Tai decided that we should take a rest in our hotel for the rest of the day.
