Fifty Six

Bea's been staring at the ceiling for quite long while laying on Jho's bed in her dorm.

She keeps on tapping the bed til Jho came out of the bathroom.

Jho stopped for a while and looked at Bea.

She smiled from ear to ear. "She's really here." she thought.

After her game last night, hindi na niya pinakawalan si Bea that made the latter laugh the whole time. No doubt, 'clingy Jhoana' is her favorite.

It was not long when Bea noticed that Jho is ready to go.

"Tara na?" Bea quickly stood up.

Jho smiled and nodded. "Saan ba tayo pupunta?"

"You'll see." Bea held Jho's hand and intertwined it with hers.

Bea stared at their hands. "We are really perfect for each other. Tignan mo oh, your hand fits mine like it's made for me."

Jho chuckled knowing that Bea made use a line of lyrics there. "No doubt."

Bea quickly kissed Jho's hand and ushered her out of the room.

Jho's about to ask Bea more about their date when their 2 friends barged in to their room.

"Bakit ang bilis? Paano nangyari yun? Hindi man lang namin napansin?" Jia asked.

Jho and Bea looked at Deanna. "Anong meron?"

Deanna looked irritated. "Ewan ko kay ate Jia. Kagabi pa yan."

The two diverted their attention to Jia.

"Tinatanong ko lang naman paano nagsimula yung kanila ni Jema eh ayaw ako sagutin."

"Kaya kung ano ano na naging assumption mo?" Deanna said.

"Aba malay ko kung ginawa mo yang defense mechanism sa nararamdaman mo sa iba or maybe you are proving something? I don't know kaya nga I'm asking." Sabi naman ni Jia.

"Ate, sometimes an answer is not the answer. Hindi lahat kayang iexpress at iexplain. Why don't you just be happy for me?"

"I am happy for you!" Sagot agad ni Jia.

Bago pa man may sabihin pa ang dalawa, inawat na sila ni Jhoana.

"Hep hep. Tama na." Pinaggitnaan niya ang dalawa.

"Kagabi niyo pa 'to pinaguusapan." She added.

"Jia, spare the kid. She'll explain when she's ready." Sabi naman ni Bea.

Jho looked at Deanna. "At ikaw bata ka" Piningot nito ng konti ang tenga ng isa.

"Next time wag mo kaming ginugulat. You can share anything to us."

Jia and Deanna looked at each other, sighed and nodded.

"San kayo pupunta?" Jia asked.

"Sikretong malupit." Bea smirked.

"Saang branch ng Sogo yan ha?" Deanna joked.

Sinamaan siya ng tingin ni Jho at Bea. "Deanna!"

Not long after when the lovebirds left the two. Jho was smiling from ear to ear while they are on the car and listening to a song played on the radio.
