My Precious [Kaneki x Reader]

Chapter 2 - Reunion

(Y/N) POV:

At last on my way home after the visit to the graveyard. It got later than I expected it to get. I was walking down the alley under the faint light of the moon. It was a little cloudy tonight and the only thing I could hear was the distant sound of cars driving. 

"Hey there beautiful.." I stopped in my tracks at the sound of an unfamiliar voice coming from behind me. "Where do you think you're going?" Asked the voice, it was a man's voice. I slowly turned around towards the direction the voice came from.

"Who's there? W-What do you want?" I asked in a nervous tone and began to move backward, only to jump into someone. I quickly turned around to see a man with black and red eyes standing behind me, now holding me still. "A-A G-Ghoul!? L-Let me go! Please!!" I yelled and tried to break free, but it was no use.

"Aww, don't act like that... You're the one who invited me here with that delicious scent of yours..." The man said and moved his head closer to my shoulder. 

"Please... No... S-Someone help!!" I screamed and struggled to get free. It was no use... I began to panic, there's nothing I can do to get free of this one. I wanted to run, to scream, to cry, but I had no tears left in me. I could feel him sniffing my skin and moving the shoulder of my shirt to the side to get a clear bite. I could now feel his breath on my skin and he then bit down, hard. I cried out in pain and struggled even more. 

"Let her go. Now."

The Ghoul, who was biting down on my shoulder, looked up in surprise at the interruption. That voice... I know that voice... It can't be!? I thought and wanted to look up, but my body was now frozen still with blood streaming down from my shoulder. 

"What? ... Oh, you're a ghoul too aren't you?" The ghoul holding me asked the other man. 'A Ghoul' huh?  I knew it, of course, it isn't Kaneki... Kaneki is... Kaneki is dead. I was wrong, I had more tears and they were coming down, fast. 

"I'm sorry to disappoint you dude, but I haven't eaten for a while, so I can't offer you any of this one... You'll have to fi--" The ghoul who was threatening to kill me was cut off by a kick in his ribs, which sent him flying into the nearest building. I fell to the ground, my arm covered in blood and tears streaming out of my eyes, which made it difficult to see clearly. 

The ghoul fell to the ground and coughed, as he looked up in anger. "Why you..." He hissed and jumped to his feet and ran towards the other ghoul as something big and glowing came out of his arm. It had a yellowish glow to it and it surrounded his arm. He quickly punched out for the other ghoul, but he just dodged him every time he would try and hit him. "Stand still you little brat! I'll teach you a lesson not to interfere when others are feeding!!" He yelled and sounded a little exhausted. The other ghoul just clicked his finger and glared at the angry ghoul attacking him. Wait, now my chance! I have to escape while I still can..! I thought and quickly stood up. I backed away, careful not to catch their attention. However, the first ghoul quickly jumped away from the other and looked in my direction.

"And where do you think you're going!?" He yelled and shot his yellow thing in toward me, a kagune I think it was called. My eyes widened and I quickly turned around and began to run as fast as I possibly could. I didn't get more than 5 steps away before I felt something thrust through the side of my stomach. 

"No--! (Y/N)!!!" I heard someone yell. How do you.. Know my name..?  I thought and then felt a sharp pain from the place where something had thrust through me. 

"Aarh--!" I yelped and stopped, not able to take yet another step. I felt something warm and wet on my skin, which flooded from the place where it hurt. I slowly looked down at my stomach and saw the ghoul's yellow kagune stick out from my stomach. It then disappeared as I heard an now angry voice behind me. 

"How dare you hurt her!" He yelled and sprinted towards the first ghoul, anger, and sorrow filling his eyes. I fell to the ground, not able to stand and blood coming from both my stomach and my shoulder.

"Wait, do you know h---" The ghoul was brutally cut off. Quite literally, his head was cut off and blood now streamed out of him. The ghoul who had killed him held the other ghoul's head with his hand. He then looked at me with worry filling his eyes. 

He then carefully began to walk towards me, extending his blood-filled hand to me. Oh no, not this again... I thought and began crawling backward in fear. "No... Please don't eat me! I-I...!" I stuttered and couldn't seem to find any words. I then hit my back against a building behind me, stopping me from moving away from him any further. The ghoul was now right in front of me and slowly kneeled down so we could face each other. He was wearing a black jacket, black jeans and he had white hair and his eyes looked a lot like...

"(Y/N)... Please... Don't be scared, I won't hurt you... I promise." He said with the voice that sounded an awful lot like "K-Kaneki..?" I mumbled and gave him a somewhat confused look. He kept silent, but slowly nodded his head. I wasn't able to move and everything was hurting like hell. He slowly reached out toward me as he gently wiped away some of my tears away, but to no use cause now they just came down even faster. "I-It c-can't be... You... You died?!" I questioned and looked at him closely. He slowly shook his head and placed his hand on top of mine.

"I'm right here (Y/N)... It's gonna be okay, but I gotta get you to a hospital... Can you stand?" Kaneki asks and holds my hand while slowly standing up again. I held his hand for support and slowly got up, but my vision began to blur and this time I was pretty sure it wasn't tears. I stumbled a bit and began to fall, only for Kaneki to catch me in his arms. 

"(Y/N)!!?.. Damn, she's losing too much blood!" He hissed and picked me up bridal style, "Hold on to me (Y/N)!" He said and began to run out of the bloody alley.

"K-Kaneki..? I'm... Really sleepy..." I whispered to him and began to close my eyes. 

"(Y/N) NO! Stay awake! You have to stay awake!" He yelled and looked down at me. He leaped to the top of the nearest building. How did... He do that..? I thought to myself as everything was slowly getting darker and darker, I can't stay awake, a.. little nap won't hurt... "(Y/N)!!" I could hear his voice, very distant though, screaming my name, but I couldn't react to it. Then everything went black.
