Chapter 7:Task

"What could I write for the second paragraph?" I said on my desk thinking of something to write on for the second paragraph of my piece "What feelings should I focus on?Love?Hate?Sadness?Happiness?Compassion?" I said "Happiness.Yeah I'll focus on that" I said finally making some progress after a hour or so "It's already been an hour and only little progress yay!" I said getting up and stretching my arms "Xan dinners ready!" my mom said calling me for dinner and I went down "Don't call me that" I said "Yeah it sounds like a boy name" Lee said out of nowhere "Lee!?" I said surprised that he was sitting on our couch "What are you doing here?" I said "Oh am I not allowed here I'm gonna leave then" he said getting up "No!No!No!No!It's ok but why are you here?" I said "Well I need to ask you something for our project" he said "It's not a project only a partner task" I said "Same thing but it seems like I came in the wrong time so I'm just gonna leave" he said ready to open the door "No you can just wait for us to finish eating then we'll do the task" I said "That's rude Xandra to let a guest watch is eat" my mother said "You can join us.Im sure Xandra would like that" my father said "Thank you but I'm full" Lee said "If you say so but have a drink or so" my father said placing the plates and utensils on the table and we started eating.While eating I saw Lee pull out his phone and his earphone to listen to music "It's almost as if he's not paying attention to us" I thought to myself looking at him until our eyes meet and I actually looked away and started finishing my plate."So what are we gonna do?" I said sitting beside him "Well the instructions ma'am gave us was make a report on how different and how frequently a human changes their feelings" he said "This task could help me with my piece!" I said "Yeah" he said "Maybe we can use your piece if that's ok with you" he said "Yeah sure why not but we might need to add a lot more stuff as it's only short" I said "That's fine" he said "Sure?" I said "Yeah" he said "Well let me get my paper then" I said standing up and going upstairs and before I reach the second floor I saw my father talking to Lee "Wonder what they're talking about" I thought to myself as I went into my room and took the paper of mine "It's so short but we might as well use it for our task in  our psychology subject" I said looking at the paper and went downstairs and I overheard a bit of my father's conversation with Lee "No sir I don't l-" Lee was cut off when he saw me climbing down the stairs "What ya guys talking about?" I said "Nothing honey" my dad said helping my mother as Lee and I start planning out our task "Here's my paper" I said handing him it and sitting beside him "Yeah I think we could add some more" he said "Like what?" I said "I don't know,hold on let me research some stuff about psychology" he said "Or you know read the book?" I said "You do that" he said and I took my book and started reading the chapter about human feelings.Throughout our researching I could see him switch in and out of a note app and see him typing down important sentences while I highlighted the important sentences.There was long silence between us too until his phone started making a loud noise "Seems like I need to go now.Ill just send you the things I found in text" he said "Alright" I said opening the door for him "See ya" I said waving him goodbye and he waved back as I closed the door. I went upstairs with my paper and closed my door and fell on my bed "Why did I feel so awkward with him in my house?" I said to myself "And what the hell did Lee and my dad talk about?" I said and after a few minutes of thinking the possibilities of what my dad and Lee talked about I passed out.

"Wake up!" I heard my mom say from downstairs and I stretched my arms out and got up from my bed and fixed it "Morning mom" I said going downstairs "Dad already left?" I said "Yeah and I gotta go too" she said placing my breakfast on the table "Bye honey!" she said as she left and took a taxi to her work "2 days to do our task" I said holding my phone on my hand scrolling through my messages and notifications while eating when I noticed a text from Lee last night "Here's the stuff I got also maybe change your title to Emotions as Feelings of A Human doesn't really sound good no offense to Anne and you.

Emotions are complex.A theory is that emotions can change someone's psychology and their usual style that changes ones behavior.The physiology of emotion is closely linked to arousal the nervous system with various states and strengths of arousal relating, apparently, to particular emotions. Emotion is also linked to behavioral tendency. Extroverted people are more likely to be social and express their emotions, while introverted people are more likely to be more socially withdrawn and conceal their emotions. Emotion is often the driving force behind motivation, positive or negative."

I replied with a very very late response."Thats...alot and sorry for the late response" it took him not that long to see it "It's fine but is that enough?" he texted back "Yeah it should be" I texted back "Aight use this stuff too if you want for your piece" he texted back "Thank you Lee" I texted him back "Np" he texted back ending our conversation as he went offline and I listened to some music after I ate and continued my paper until I heard a doorbell and I looked outside using my window and saw her.
