Chapter 30:Last Few Days

I sighed heavily as I tried on more dresses
"I don't want to be offensive but how long will this take?" I said
"Just a few more" the lady said giving me more dresses to try on.I went back and forth trying in different dresses and after my 45th dress -I started counting trying to keep my mind off the hours spend in this shop-
"Fits you" the lady said inspecting me
"Turn around" she said and I turned around
"Yeah this would be nice when you are doing your 18 Roses Dance" she said
"You fine with that?" she said looking at me
"Yeah it's really good" I said genuinely liking the dress itself
"Anyways I'll send it to you after 2 days" She said
"Thanks" I said leaving the store and walking into the streets looking for Lea.I couldn't find her so I pulled out my phone and called her
"Uhh yeah Lea I don't see you" I said
"Well I had to take coffee and take a snack 'cause you took so long" She said as I heard her say thanks to someone probably the cashier
"I'll wait outside the store just text me if you are nearby" I said hanging up the call.I sat on the nearest bench to the store watching the different sorts of people walking around the sidewalks and I played a game in my phone."Shit!" I said as I died in the game and started pacing wondering where Lea is."Didn't know you swore" I heard a voice said and turned around
"Anne!" I said hugging her
"Heard you were having a debut and-" I cut her off
"The invite should already be sent" I said
"No I'm not talking about that I'm talking about my gift and I wanna give it early" She said
"That's all?" I said knowing something was up
"Ok you got me,spill about you and him" She said sitting on the bench and patting it signaling me to sit down
"Well it's at the moment nice yet sad" I said
"Why?" She said
"Well I'm leaving so yeah" I said interlocking my fingers
"You know you guys have a chance to facetime or skype and shit" She said
"Yeah but everything was going well.We just became a thing 2 months ago and now I'm leaving..." I said
"Then give it your all" She said
"Don't even pout or be sad,don't sit somewhere and not find a way for you guys to meet again.If it takes a long ass time for you guys to meet each other again then live that time 'cause when that person escapes from your embrace, your screwed because it can go two ways,you'll meet again and be happy or you'll never see each other and you only have the memories to know the good times you had" She said
"Huh" I said
"I guess you are right" I said
"Anyways I need to teach you some dances for your 18th birthday" She said
"Ok but I need to tell Lea" I said
"Tell me about what?" Lea said walking towards us
"Anne was about to tell show me some dances" I said
"Yeah well go,I need some rest" Lea said
"Well guess thats it" I said
"You have your keys right?" Lea said
"Yeah" I said
"Anyways we should get going" Anne said and she and I left with Anne leading the way.We walked what seemed like a short time compared to the time spent in the dress store.Anne led me into a large building in terms of width "Welcome to The Fox-Ball!" Anne said as we stopped in front of the building
"This place looks fancy I don't think I have money for this" I said looking at the place which looks like a ballroom for upperclass people
"It's fine,I have a membership" She said going in
"Why?" I said following her
"Well for prom" She said handing her card to the person at the desk
"Your instructor is on the room at your right" the person said handing Anne back her card
"Trust me this instructor is amazing" She said and we walked inside the room and the instructor was teaching another class.

"Oh Anne you didn't tell me you were coming.Class is over!" The instructor said and the music stopped and the people left the room
"Ok my friend here Xandra wants to learn the usual dance for the 18 roses" Anne said
"Hi Xandra I'm Karen" Karen said sticking her hand out
"Hi" I said shaking it
"Ok the usual dance for the 18 roses is just a slow dance like this" Karen said and we practiced with the male students that were there for hours yet it didn't feel like it.It was already 12 when Anne and I went out the building "That was fun" I said
"Is this usually what you do?" I said
"Yeah practicing for prom and such" Anne said
"Why do you care about prom so much" I said
"Well I don't really know to be honest" She said
"Maybe because I might never go to prom nor have what you and Lee have" She said
"Trust me Anne you will find someone" I said
"Yeah..maybe" She said and we rode a taxi going back to my place while Anne and I just started humming a song inside the taxi.

"I miss this" I said laughing
"This banter,this fun" I said
"Me too" Anne said
"Anyways keep your chin up and uhh don't be an idiot and miss your last chance to be with him" She said as I went out
"Bye" She said closing the door for me and the taxi went forward to Anne's house and I was about to open the door to my place when the words of Anne played it my head "Last few days" I said as I went inside the house and hanged my jacket on the coat hanger and I went up practicing the dance and sketched what hopefully could happen at the debut."A Disney-like dance."
