Chapter 24:Agreement

Tuesday

"We've been here for so longggg" Xandra said "We gotta deal with it" I said sitting down on a chair with Xandra beside me waiting for the next scene to happen "Cut!' Lin said "Again,scene 1 in three,two,one!" Lin said and the scene began once again for the 50th time and I was bored out of my skull that I started counting how many times we've tried to perfect this scene.The time felt like it wasn't eve moving anymore for how long it's taking to finish scene 1 "I don't think there will be a end for this" Xandra said "Yeah I'm starting to think that too" I said and Xandra placed her head on my shoulder "Wake me up when it's the next scene" she said closing her eyes "Ok" I said and I waited to wake her up and it was already nearing 12 in the afternoon when finally we got past scene 1 "Xandra wake up" I said nudging her "Is it done?" she said and I nodded and her and I went up the stage for our scene."Scene 2 in three,two,one,action!" Lin said and Xandra and I did our scene "Sorry" I said bumping into Xandra "No,no,no,no I got in the way sorry" she said "No you didn't get in the way" I said "Oh.....an actual kind knight" she mumbled to herself but it was still audible for the future audience to hear "Why?Are the knights here usually that terrible?" I said "You aren't from around, here are you?" she said "Yeah why?" I said "Explains a lot.In this place our knights aren't that kind.Yes they do protect us but most of them do it for the money, for the fame, for the respect and hell even rumors are spreading that the knights have a little group that's going around taxing everyone and more rumors have surfaced like on how the knights could be killing commoners" she said "Killing commoners huh" I said crossing my arms "Anyways I need to go" she said and she exited the stage and so did I ending scene 2."Perfect!" Lin said "You guys take a break 10 mins and we still need to perfect scene 1" Zachery said holding a clipboard.All of us used this time to rest,get a drink,get coffee or do an advanced study."Hey Lee" Gerrie said approaching me "Sorry I need to do something" I said walking away from her trying to not get Xandra feel it again "Jeez don't be harsh to the person" Xandra said "It's just I wanna put a distance between her and I" I said "Look it's fine if you wanna talk to her I'm not go-" I cut her off "Well I don't wanna talk to her" I said "But you have to for the play" she said "Well my character wants to talk to her but I don't want to" I said "Look if you're going to ignore her don't be harsh on her ok I don't want you to do things that could hurt others 'cause of me...sound good?" she said "Yeah sounds good..." I said "Anyways I'm gonna get coffee as we could be here for a while.Wanna come?" she said "It's bad for an employee of Escape Cafe to walk into another Cafe and order something " I said "Then let's go to Escape then" she said as she held my hand and we walked outside to Escape Cafe.We reached the cafe and Xandra ordered a latte while I ordered a mocha "So....why with the hands?" I said "Oh...You didn't like it?" she said "No,no,no I'm ok with it but what's your reasoning?" I said "Probably because I saw you a bit cold" she said and I made a 'What do you mean' face and she explained further "You looked dead" she said being blunt "Isn't that me in a nutshell" I said sipping the cup "Yeah but more deader than usual if thats a word" she said "Think it is" I said and there was silence between us "If you don't want me to get hurt then don't force yourself to do something just for me" she said finishing her latte "Besides I'll maybe find a way to be fine ya know?" she said "Fine..." I said agreeing to her and finishing my mocha "We should go" I said and I stood up and so did Xandra.We walked outside and I saw D going in the Cafe "Date?" she said going in "We still have 7 mins wanna talk to her?" I said "Sure" Xandra said and we went back inside "Not a date" I said "Then what is it?" D said opening her laptop "Just a talk" Xandra said "Just a talk?" D said and she looked at me "You know you guys would make a good couple" D said as she started typing "Don't know if we should be flattered or be weirded out" Xandra said sitting down "Probably both" D said as I sat down beside Xandra "In all seriousness you guys do" D said "Give us one reason why" I said "Your chemistry.There's just something about you two that interests me and I don't usually ask this but..." D said pausing for a bit "Can I use you two for a book?" D said and Xandra's eyes widened and she immediately agreed "How 'bout you Lee?" D said "Fake names?" I said and D nodded "If you put it like that then sure" I said "Now I'll handle the names for you two so tell me your story between you two" D said and Xandra started explaining it and I just waited for them to finish."So you both are socially awkward?" D said and Xandra and I nodded "That's cliche" D said "That's Xandra and I's lives in a nutshell" I said "Yeah well might sound good enough probably" D said "I'll start writing the story for you two" D said as she started typing "Wait in an individual book?" I said "Yup" D said and my phone vibrated and I pulled it out "Zachery is calling us already" I said standing up "Let's go" I said and Xandra said goodbye to D and we left and headed back to the practice area "We're gonna be in a book" Xandra said happily "You don't seem happy about this" she said "I just don't really like us being in a standalone book I don't know why" I said "Well let me make you happy" she said and she leaned in for a kiss.
