Chapter 31a:A Promise Kept

I woke up and checked the time "Few more hours" I said getting up and opening the door and walked down the hall to the bathroom.I open the door and go on with my usual routine. After a while I walk back to my room and put on the clothes I want to wear for the day which was a black shirt with the initials of my favorite band and jeans. I walk downstairs and find the entire place empty not even Lea was here cooking "She probably is checking her dress for later tonight" I said as I go outside with my jacket and walked down the street that would eventually lead me to Lee.

I was about to knock on the door when Lee opened it without even knowing I was here "Hi" I said
"Hey didn't know you would be here" He said closing the door of his place
"I was just going to come here and uhh say thanks for everything you've done"
"You've said thanks too many times" He said
"But I wanna say it again 'cause I can't help you in anyway I can right now"
"Well you can probably help me get my Tux?" He said and I lighten up
"Oh I'm gonna get the best Tux for you" I said
"As long as it is in the budget go for it" He said as he held my hand
"Yeah sure 'budget' " I said and we started walking to the place where Lee was going to get his Tuxedo while we were just talking about random things and acting like this wasn't the last day we would see each other in a long time just like the old times.

"Wow this is a fancy place" I said as we walked inside the store
"Sup Zachery" Lee said
"Sup" Zachery said
"What Zach you work here?" I said
"Uhh yeah besides I can get free tuxedoes if I am the employee of the month and I got a eye on a good tux" Zachery said
"You gonna pick it up Lee?" Zachery said
"Yeah" Lee said and Zachery went at the back and came out with a tux that looked like one of the old timey ones worn during the '90s
"Here ya go" Zachery said giving Lee the tux
"Looks good" I said "But too old"
"Yeah that's what I said to him but he insist" Zachery said
"Check that one" I said pointing at a tux with a pocket on the left breast colored gold
"I'll check it" Lee said as he took the tux I pointed at and went to the fitting room. A long time past as the tux I pointed at wasn't fitting enough for Lee so we spent more time trying on Tuxedoes when as soon as the snow started falling once again we found the perfect one, a tuxedo that had the inner clothing colored white and the outer clothing was black with a trace of gold on the pockets and the bow was black "Fitting" I said checking him out wearing the tuxedo

"Thanks" Lee said
"Now take it off and I'll place it on a hanger so you can carry it" Zachary said and few minutes later Lee came out the fitting room with his old clothes and gave the tuxedo to Zachery "Here you go" Zachery said handing Lee the tuxedo
"Thanks" Lee said taking the tux and we went outside the store waving Zachary goodbye.Lee and I started walking down the street to the nearby Krispy Kreme "Everything went by so quickly didn't it?" I said "Yesterday we confessed and the next we're separated"

"Well that's how life works" Lee said "Always trying to bring you down"
"True, but is there a way to counter it, is there a way to find happiness?" I said
"Maybe" He said
"What if there wasn't one, would we still be able to rekindle that happiness?" I said "Or will it all go down hill from here?"
"I believe there is some form of happiness in everything you just need to not give up" He said stopping and turned to face me "Besides I'll make sure that we see each other again if it takes me my entire blood to"
"So how would we meet again if you are out of blood?" I said crossing my arms and raising an eyebrow
"Wow..." He said "Smart-ass" he smiled and I returned the smile. We reached Krispy Kreme talking about cartoons and the couples on said cartoons that would be perfect for each other. We entered the store and ordered a box of the new pumpkin doughnuts and ate one inside the store talking for what seemed like a few minutes when it ended when in fact it was almost half an hour when we stopped talking and we've already ate most of the doughnuts "You excited for later?" Lee said taking a bit of his doughnut "It is your debut and everything"
"Don't know to be honest" I said "It feels so strange for me to walk out looking grand when in reality I'm just a not-that-grand kind of gal"
"Well you have to, it's a symbol for being a woman now" He said "Besides its the best day of your life"
"I guess you are right" I said as the drink I ordered was placed on our table
"Hey" Lee said as he held my hand "Don't be sad we'll see each other again just like what I said a while ago"
"But I still have doubts" I said "And I'm afraid that we might forget about each other"
"We will meet each other again" He said getting up "Trust me" he kissed me and right after that I hugged him tightly
"You can stop" He said and I let go of him "I'll go and uhh iron the tux and get myself fixed" he stood up
"See you at 5" I said
"See you" Lee said leaving and I ate the last doughnut and waited for a while until I decided to go back home.
