Chapter 23:Fear

Lee's POV
Ever since Xandra and I had the confession our lives took a giant turn whenever we were around each other and our feelings grew and hell I even have thoughts about going to the next level but I doubt that would be happen right now as of course it's gonna be problematic a- "Lee!" I heard someone call me bringing me back to reality "We got a customer" Angeline said,my boss "Got it" I said as the customer went up the counter "Welcome to Escape Cafe ma'am what can I get you?" I said "Is it really called Esca-pe the pronunciation I mean?" the customer said "It's a play on words I guess an-Wait you're that writer at the Sakura festival right?" I said "Shh don't let anyone know about this" she said "Ok I'm not gonna let anyone know that you talked to me" I said "No not that at all just don't tell anyone about my identity k?" she said "Oh...Alright so what do you want?" I said "Frame" she said "The special Frame ok so any pastry you want?" I said "Maybe a chocolate cake" she said "Ok that is $5.99" I said "Here you go" she said handing me the money and I placed it inside the cashier box "We will just give it to you ma'am" I said "Don't call me ma'am" she said "Then what do you want me to call you?" I said "Call me Domino" she said "Your alias I'm guessing" I said "Yup" she said and she sat down on a round table and opened her briefcase that she was holding and took out a laptop and place it on the round table.I prepared the Frame which is basically a frappuccino that has the color of glass and it's taste can be called a tornado of feelings.I finished making the frappuccino and took a slice of chocolate cake and brought her drink and her cake to her."Here you go" I said placing the things she ordered on her table "Hey you were that guy in the writing contest yeah?" she said "Yeah why?" I said "That was a bold move throwing away your paper,luckily I got it and man you wrote a lot that you didn't say" she said "Yeah well it was in my plan to throw it away because I'm not so good at reading and giving it emotion" I said "You know your skills intrigued me" she said as she stopped typing "Are you a writer for anything?" she said "Part of the school magazine as a writer and so is the girl that was with me" I said "Xandra yeah?" she said "Yup,anyways why do you ask?" I said "Well maybe I have an offer for you two" she said pulling out two business cards "We offer a free 3 years training and a chance for trainees to become writers" she said handing me the business cards "No way!" I said taking them "Now I'll continue writing and don't peek don't wanna have someone spoil it" she said as she started typing and I went back to the counter and I checked to see if this was real business cards "This is an actual business card from a writer than everyone loves" I thought to myself and the small bell rang symbolizing a customer has went it.I placed the business cards in my pocket and served the customer "Hey Xandra" I said "Sup" Xandra said "What do you want?" I said "Is there a discount 'cause your my friend?" she said jokingly "Let me ask" I said playing along "Don't actually you might lose your job 'cause of me" she said grabbing my arm "Who said I was actually gonna ask?" I said "Did you actually believe I was worried that you would ask?" she said "Tsk" I said "Anyways whatcha want?" I said "Chocolate frappuccino" she said "Alright" I said and I started making Xandra's frappuccino and the moment I turned back to face Xandra she was already talking to Domino "Guessing you know her" I said and I handed Xandra her frappuccino "Well duh she is my favorite writer ever man" Xandra said "The winner of the drawing contest herself" Domino said "Did you get your tablet yet?" Domino said "Tomorrow I'll get it" Xandra said "Since you're here Xandra I'm giving you this" I said pulling out one of the business cards and giving it Xandra "Wait is this.." Xandra said as she looked at Domino "Yup.Like I said with Lee we offer a free 3 year training and the trainees can be future writers" Domino said "No freaking way thank you so much!" Xandra said and she hugged Domino "Ok ok I appreciate the hug but too damn close" Domino said and I laughed as Xandra got on her knees and begged for Domino's forgiveness (AN:Domino for the writers alias is getting a bit triggering I'll just call her D) "Is she always like this?" D said asking me "Sometimes,better say that you forgive her with actual feeling and not forced and if you do forgive her just because she is getting annoying she'll get more annoying" I said and I got back to the counter to serve the customer that just came in "Christ I'm gonna be here for a while aren't I" D said as Xandra kept on begging.

My shift has ended and I took a frappuccino to go and went back home.I got home and placed my frappuccino on the table and took the script for the play and memorized my lines "Is there a point to our relationship?Are you just tricking me?!" I said,halfway through the script when someone knocked on my door.I peeked through the eyehole and saw it was Xandra waving at me "You really had to wave?" I said as I opened the door "Yeah" she said going in and I shut the door "So why you here?" I said "I couldn't really practice my lines in the scene with you and I talking" she said "I just couldn't convey the right emotion" she said "Great artist,great reader and a great writer and now a great actor what can't you do?" I said "Shut up" she said smiling "Shall we begin?" I said "Yes" she said and we both got into character "Hey Zorro" she said "Told you to just call be Z" I said "Sorry" she said and she acted that she was thinking something deeply "Something bothering you?" I said "Do really love her?" she said looking at me "Well I-I do" I said and I felt her eyes showing the emotion that should be conveyed and she took long to answer and we slowly got off script and I just had to ask something "Are you jealous?" I said "That isn't in the script" she said trying to escape the question "Answer it" I said "Fine...I am jealous because you and Gerrie are a bit too close and in this play you guys have a relationship and I'm scared that you might....not like me that much anymore as the meeting yesterday you and her were a bit too close and I hated that" she said and I placed my script on the couch and I held Xandra's hand "Don't be that jealous 'cause I don't like Gerrie ok...and her and I are just friends..." I said "Still that makes me afraid, afraid that I could lose you...." she said "And I don't want us to just have a giant distance between each other" she said "I guess I'm just overreacting and s-" I cut her off by leaning in and kissing her "That was a bit fast I'm sorry" I said "Yeah...you still haven't asked me and you already went for it....but it...relaxed me for a bit...thank you" she said.We finished practicing and Xandra went home at 7:00 pm "I'm sorry for earlier" I said "It's fine...but...do you wanna go there,the next level I mean?" she said "I want what your comfortable with" I said "Well..." she said walking towards me "I guess I wanna go there too" she said whispering in my ear and she kissed me on the cheek "See ya my boyfriend".
