Chapter 14:Books

"Jesus christ" I said as I took the heavy science book to study for our exam.As soon as I flipped the first page I immediately got a "nose bleed" once I saw all of the names in the periodic table with only a few I know "Why is there 118 elements why cant it just be fire,water,earth and wind" I said trying not to give up "Just focus Xandra just focus" I said going into this zone where I just focus on one thing and don't care about whats happening near me.After a hour or so it was already lunch and I skipped it to move on to Math "Ok math math math math math.Oh math you pain in my..." I was cut off when Lea entered my room "Continue that?" she said giving me a tray of food "Studying for the exams?" she said sitting on my bed "Yup" I said "Let me see the lesson" she said and I handed her my book "No way algebra" she said "Your good at it?" I said "No but I did get best in mathematics" she said "I thought you dropped out?" I said "Grade school hon" she said handing me back the book "Just focus and you would be able to accomplish anything.Thats what I do anyways" she said leaving the room and closing the door "If only it was that easy" I said and suddenly my phone dinged "Didn't I silent you?" I said taking it to see what was the notification "Xandra you there?" I said reading the text from Lee(The following next thing is just me changing a bit of the texting part of my story to make it a bit shorter and understandable)

Lee:Xandra you there?
Me:Yeah I'm here whats the problem?
Lee:Check your messenger
Me:K

I went to my messenger and saw I had a message request from a group

Me:Hello?
Zachery:Welcome Xandra to the official school magazine club group chat
Ava:Finally you're here
Me:Finally?
Lee:We've sent you the request an hour ago and you just accepted it now
Me:Oh Im sorry
Ava:Don't be
Zachery:Anyways time for you to meet the other members by name.Our proofreader is Tristan only,photographers are Ava,Fiona and Bea,our writers are you,Lee,Charlie,Carlotta,Tanya and Lain,our cartoonist are Zoey,Emma,Olivia and Harper
Me:Cool but how do I know what they look like?
Zachery:Theres this thing called social media and you can check a stranger's photo and see who they are
Me:Isn't that stalking?

After our conversation I looked at the tray of food Lea gave me and I haven't notice until now that she made her special meal "Just bread but inside" I said cracking it open "Cheese filling" I said putting it together "And her own homemade pasta which is rumored to have magical abilities but I don't believe that.It is delicious though" I said "Why would she give this to me?Its only for special occasions and the ingredients are expensive" I said "But it is rude to leave it not eaten when the person already spent time on it" I said as I took the spoon and fork and started eating,taking a break from my studying.After a quick break I immediately went back into studying "Finally!" I said closing my math book "After a few hours or so I finally did it!" I said stretching my arms and getting up "What should I do now?" I said going around my room trying to find something to interest me "What's this" I said grabbing a paper brightly colored "Wow how old was this drawing?" I said checking it more "Damn what was I even trying to draw?A bird?A falcon?Or is it a human?" I said "I've got nothing to do so I might as well just I don't know draw?" I said as I took my mechanical pen,a pencil and a paper "What should I draw?" I said "Maybe a angel?Like a female angel without any facial features and a pair of wings.But how would that look like?" I said "Whatever I'm just gonna do this blindly" I said as I started drawing a rectangle with curvy sides,a small circle and a oval "So the rectangle is the chest,circle is the stomach I guess and the oval is the hip leading into the legs" I said "Time to do the figure" I said as I took my mechanical pen and started doing the figure of the angel "Looks good" I said "The wings how would I do that.." I said "Maybe a simple youtube  tutorial would help me.Nah screw it I'm just gonna wing it.Good pun me" I said as I high-fived my self for the pun.After several tries of trying to make wings I finally came to my chosen design for it "Simple yet elegant" I said blowing off the eraser shavings of my desk "I still got it in me" I said taking the piece of paper proud of myself "Wonder how I learned this outline" I said "May I come in?" Lea said after knocking and opening the door "Yeah" I said placing the paper on my desk "What's that?" she said going to my desk to check the paper "Damn.Got them drawing skills" she said "I just don't know where I learned the outline thing" I said "Outline?" she said "A rectangle with curvy sides,small circle and a oval" I said "Oh.You might've learned it from me or mom as she is really good at drawing and when she draws female bodies she uses that outline" she said "So you adapted the ability to draw from mom?" I said "Yeah" she said "Anyways wanna do something later?" she said "Like what?" I said "Go to the mall or something I don't know" she said "Maybe a movie?" I said "Sure you can invite some friends too if you want" she said "They might all be studying though" I said "Oh maybe Lee?" she said "He is probably studying" I said "Anne?" she said "Yeah I think she's free" I said "Oh wait!I forgot there was the tickets" I said "The concert right" she said "Lets just go there instead?" I said "Yeah" she said "Aight I'm gonna tell Ava,Anne,Angela for them to go to the venue now" I said as I pulled out my phone and texted them to come to the venue "Let's go?" I said "You gotta dress up sis,it's a concert" she said and even before I could say no I was already given clothing "Wow.I am wearing lots of black" I said looking myself at the mirror "Its a Linkin Park concert some people are wearing black probably" she said "Fine whatever" I said "Come on" she said and we both went down and went outside "Taxi!" she said waving her hands at the taxi to let us in "Qarra Stadium" she said and we went in and the driver started driving.

We arrived there with Anne,Ava and Angela waiting for us "And here is the winner" Anne said "Can we see the email miss?" the person said guarding the entrance to the venue "Here you go" I said showing him the confirmation that I won "Here you go and have fun" he said as he gives us the tickets "Lets go" I said telling them to enter the stadium "No way" Ava said looking around the stadium "I'll look around tell me once it starts" she said as she started exploring the stadium.After a few minutes we all went to our seats and the concert started.

After the Concert
"That was so fun!" I said holding the album the band gave me "Yeah it was" Angela said "Thank you Xandra for bringing us to the concert" Anne said "No problem" I said "Ill go now bye!" Anne said as she got in a taxi and Angela and Ava left together going to the mall to watch a movie "All girls night out" Lea said "Yeah" I said as we got in a taxi "Surprised you didn't bring along Lee" she said "Well I was only allowed to have four people with me so I picked you,Anne,Angela and Ava" I said "If only you could have five with you" she said and for the whole ride we were both directed at our phones "We're here" Lea said as she snaps her fingers loud enough for me to hear it while listening to music "Aight" I said giving the money to the driver and went out of the taxi with Lea "How loud can you snap?" I said opening the door "Really loud I guess" she said "Who asks that question?" she said "Me" I said "Your weird sis" she said "I know" I said as I went up to change my clothes and suddenly I heard a ding once again from my phone.
