Chapter 19:Words

POV of Lee
The day started as normal and I got on the bus for the last day of exams for the first quarter."Hey" Xandra said as I passed by her and sat down on my seat "So you saying the poem today?" she said "Not only me also you" I said "Fine but we are right?" she said "Yeah we are" I said "Well at least we got the easiest today so we can just spend time playing music in the radio station" she said "And besides only a bit of the school will hear it 'cause some people come late" she said "All of them will hear it" I said taking a sip out of my coffee cup "What?" she said "We will say it at assembly" I said "What!?" she said "Didn't I tell you that?" I said "You didn't Lee!" she said "Well I might've not said it cause I know that you would back out immediately" I said taking another sip "Jesus freaking christ you could've told me!" she said and she hit me on my shoulder making my cup almost drop "Shit!" I said as the coffee started spilling "I'm so sorry" she said "It's fine" I said cleaning up my seat and placing a tissue on the cup to prevent any further spillage."Again I'm sorry" she said "Like I said it's fine" I said "Bu-" I interrupted her by covering her mouth "Again it's freaking fine!" I said removing my hand from her mouth "If you say so" she said and silence and awkwardness was in the air for the whole ride to school.We reached school and Xandra opened up a conversation by calling me out when I was about to enter the station "Look what happened this bus ride I'm...." she said "If you say sorry I swear to God I'l-" I was cut off she hugged me "Okay okay okay personal space!" I said as I started laughing and she let go "Knew that would make you laugh" she said going inside "For the first time you made we laugh" I said going inside and closing the door "No request this time huh" she said sitting down and my phone dinged "It's Zachery" I said "The school website is online and the top voted song is there check it!" I said reading the text of Zachery "What is the top voted song?" she said "Dum Dee Dum NCore" I said "What's NCore?" I said "Beats me let's just find the song name" she said and she looked through the music files "Dum Dee Dum Nightcore" she said "Could be it" I said "Play it and this time you do the introduction" I said sitting down on my seat and placing on my headphones "Morning guys and this is finally the last day for the exams and we can finally have a rest" she said "So our top voted song today is Dum Dee Dum Nightcore version and to be honest I don't know what Nightcore is but this is a learning experience" she said as she played the song and I adjusted the music "Great job" I said as Xandra muted her mic "Thanks and why do you always adjust the volume and I always play the song" she said "I know when something is loud enough or soft enough" I said "That's pretty weird" she said "Well we're both weird" I said "Your too apologetic,you can die in like the stupidest ways possible" I said describing Xandra's weirdness "The list goes on to be honest" I said "And for you it's the I don't give a shit attitude but actually do,you can't hold a conversation with anyone else without making an awkward tension between you two" she said "And yeah that's all I can think off for now" she said "We truly are weird" I said "Yeah" she said getting up and sitting on the couch "What do we do now?" I said "Wait for the assembly" she said as she closed her eyes "Guess your gonna sleep" I said "Yeah" she said and she fell asleep as I sat on the couch too and set an alarm "7:00 a few minutes before the assembly" I thought to myself as I set up the alarm clock and after that fell asleep.

My phone started ringing waking me up and Xandra was already awake "Morning" she said sitting on her seat "What time did you get up?" I said "6:59" she said and the bell rang "It begins" I said sitting on my seat and placing on my headsets "Time to wait for it to start" I said "Yeah" she said and silence filled the room as we patiently waited for our time to say the poem "I can't do this" Xandra said getting up "What do you mean?" I said "I can't handle this everyone is listening!"she said "Just chill" I said "But I can't when there's like a lot of fucking people listening to me and when it feels like I'm carrying all this weight and any second it might fall off and I drag you down with me and everything goes all wro-" I interrupted her by covering her mouth once again "Please shut up" I said "That's the point of being partners,to share the weight and help each other,to forgive each other when one brings the other down.You know if you want to back down you can just tell Zachery that you wanna quit and yeah" I said removing my hand.She sat down and placed on her headsets "I'm sorry" she said "I....I don't wanna bring you down" she said "Let's do our best...partner" she said bringing out her hand formed in a fist "Partner" I said as I fist-bumped her and we heard Zachery introduce us."So since it's the last day of the exams I wanted to say something.First off the vacation has been extended!Yes you can thank me for that as I begged for the vacation to be extended 'cause I have plans and I want you to guys to chill out yea know.Second for celebration of the final day of first quarter the radio dj's will say something.Your up" he said and I started talking "So what we're about to say was just made yesterday.That wasn't meant to rhyme but forgive us if this wasn't that good" I said.

"I could say a thousand words
Yet I still can't say what I wanna say
If I cant use the right words
I might go crazy..."

I said and Xandra looked at me and I muted my mic "Do it.I believe in you" I said and she said the next part of the poem."If I can't tell you" she said stopping for a bit "I love you" she said "It might seem simple but it isn't" she said actually feeling the poem's words and after that I unmuted my mic."Cause I know words can make or break a person's heart" I said "And make them part" she said "And destroy the connection" I said looking at her "And break the relation..." she said "Words...are dangerous....weapons" we both said "Set...to break...or make...someone..." we both said as we looked at each other."What's this feeling?".
