"Do you not trust me?" You yelled over the loud blasting music that Billy was playing in his room.

Billy took his cigarette out from between his lips. "Maybe I don't! Maybe I don't because you're always hanging around that douchebag Steve Harrington!"

"What's the issue with that! I don't see one!" You exclaimed, waving your arms around in the air as you spoke.

Billy laughed. "You don't see the issue? ___, don't you get it? You're my girl! You're not his! You won't ever be! So stop trying to make it happen!"

You crossed your arms. "He could treat me better than you ever could!"

"Yeah, I doubt that!" He yelled back, stepping closer. You held your ground.

"You're so over protective and get so jealous of me and it's not fair that I can't talk to any other guys because you can't control your emotions!"

He pulled you towards him roughly, his free arm gripping your wrist tightly as you stared up at him, watching as he exhaled the smoke from his cigarette before putting it back between his lips.

"What did you say to me?" He asked, voice lowered. You didn't move your eyes and kept your mouth shut as he leaned closer.

"What, did, you, say?" He said, pausing between each word.

There was silence between the two of you before he laughed. "My God, you can't get a damn word out now, can you?"

You didn't say anything. He stared at you before finally getting annoyed and slapping you right across your cheek.

"Let me go, Billy." You struggled out, tears threatening to spill over at any second.

He held onto you tighter.

"Let. Me. Go." You begged, keeping your eyes focused on the wall behind him. He didn't move but finally shoved your wrist away from him.

You stumbled back a little before regaining balance and staring at the ground.

"Maybe I do step out of line sometimes, ____, but it's because I can't stand the thought of you with another guy. You," He started, walking closer to you. You shrunk away. "You are mine. You got it?"

You merely nodded. "So stop hanging around that Harrington kid and we won't have a problem."

You didn't move but Billy made you look at him, a cigarette between his lips as he stared at the red mark on your face.

"Might wanna cover that up, love. Don't want someone to know about this whole ordeal." He muttered before removing his hand from under your chin.

You didn't move but let the tears fall from your eyes as you headed over to the door to leave. Billy stopped you.

"I swear if you tell anyone about this, I will hurt you again. So better keep those pretty lips of yours shut, doll."

His back was facing towards you but you could still see the facial expression. You nodded slowly. "Okay."

The morning you did as Billy told you to do, cover up the red mark that had cooled down slightly after the night but was still there.

You kept your head down towards the ground as you walked into the school building, fear gripping and gnawing at you.

Your locker was right beside Nancy's so you headed towards it, having no choice but to lift your face and unlock it to put away some items before class.

"Hey, ____. I called you last night and no one picked up. Where were you?" She asked, crossing her arms and leaning against the lockers next to yours.

You kept your eyes to the back of the wall.

"With Billy."

"Oh."

There was silence afterwards as you heard some loud whooting coming from the front doors of the school and knew Billy had arrived.

"Is everything okay, ___? You seem stiffer than usual." Nancy pointed out.

You wanted to tell someone so badly but you didn't want to have to pay the price for it again so you kept your mouth shut, nodding in reassurance.

"There she is. The woman herself." Billy said before planting a kiss on your cheek. You stayed stiff as a board.

"I have to get to class but you better come watch me play."

You nodded, feeling him let go of you and holler down the hallways as he made his way to class.

"Nancy, I have to tell you something but you have to promise that you won't say a word about it."

She nodded, eagerly with her eyes gleaming with confusion as to what you were about to say. You grabbed her wrist, remembering him grabbing yours last night, and tugged her into the bathroom.

"Nancy, Billy is abusing me."

The look on her face changed. "Then why the hell are you still with him! Dump his sorry ass for hurting someone as gentle and kind as you!"

"It's all because I'm talking to Steve Harrington."

Nancy paused.

"The two do hate each other."

"I'm not trying to start anything at all. Steve just seems more caring and seems like he'd treat me way better than Billy ever could."

Nancy nodded, grabbing both your hands in hers.

"You deserve better. Keep talking if you want me to keep listening because I'll listen for days on end."

You nodded, pulling her into a tight hug.

"Thank you."
