steve harrington knew that his tactics were working on you after so long. it felt like so many months had passed before he finally got you to fall for him.

now, it was becoming hard for you to stop falling for him. every day it seemed like, you'd see him and start smiling and blushing before having to look away and down the school's long hallway.

on this occasion, you were outside of the classroom to go to the bathroom and steve was just out roaming the halls with no intention at all.

"hey," you said, catching his eye from the gaze he had on the floor below him. his eyes looked up at you, suddenly becoming filled with love as you walked closer.

he smiled back.

"hey."

"so, why are you out here to meet a certain someone or?" you asked him, glancing down the hall once or twice to make sure no one was coming.

he leaned back against the lockers.

"yeah, i am actually."

you perked up at the sound of this. "may i ask who that special someone might be?"

he chuckled, stuffing his hands into his pockets with one foot pressed against the lower section of lockers below him.

"yeah, you."

you nearly let out a laugh of love and content.

"wh-what?" you asked, somewhat confused.

he smiled once more.

"i'm here to see you because i've been pining for you for the last few months, ____. i think i finally have you," he said.

you nodded.

"you definitely have me, steve harrington. don't go breaking my heart now," you spoke back to him softly, grabbing his hand in yours.

"don't worry about that part because it will never come around to that."

you smiled.

it was genuine.
