Our crazy life

Chapter 2

Keanu came into the bed room after he was finished with his shower. I tried to forget about the rumors on TV about Keanu and I, but I just couldn't. I acted like nothing was wrong as usual. He crawled into bed with me and held me close to his chest. In that moment all I could think about what our wedding day and how happy we were. And it's not like we're not happy now, because we clearly are but the thought of Keanu seeing another woman makes me sick to my stomach.

As I'm laying there glancing around I look up at Keanu, he had fallen asleep so I rested my head back down on his chest. I took Keanu's limp hand and held it in my hands. Our fingers fit like puzzle pieces together, that's what he always told me when we were dating. I remember when we were younger Keanu and I were sitting up in a tree just talking about normal day to day things and I remember him telling me I'm beautiful and that some day he was going to marry me. I just laughed because I thought he was crazy for saying that, yet we're married now... I remember him holding my hand, and pointing out how our fingers interlocked with each other perfectly like puzzle pieces. I still remember that moment to this very day.

About that time Louis starts to wake up. He came running into our room with his blanket tied around his neck saying "SUPERMAN!" He jumped on the bed and Keanu wakes up startled from a dead sleep. He crawled over to Keanu and i and gave us both a big bear hug and told us he loved us. Keanu looked at me and smiled and put his hand on my cheek and asked me "why am I so lucky to have you two?" I gave a slight unsure smile and looked down at my rope and started fiddling with the lose string that unraveled and came lose.

About that time, Louis was asking "what's for lunch mama?" I laughed and said "well what do you want sweetie?" He thought and thought and a smile came to his face he asked "mama, can I have ice cream?" He already knew my answer. He likes to ask me that every once in a while and he thinks he's the funniest little joker around. He ended up deciding on having a grilled cheese for lunch. He likes to help me in the kitchen, I call him my little cook. I saw on Pinterest to use cookie cutters and cut out your kids PB&J sandwiches but I thought I'd do the same thing with a grilled cheese. I set the dinosaur shaped grilled cheese in front of Louis with carrots and ranch dipping. He looked up at me and gave me a sneaky smile. He said "MAMA, my sandwich is a dinosaur!" I laughed and said "yes it is"

About that time Keanu was walking down the stairs. Louis was finished with his sand which and was off in the other room playing with his toys. Keanu came over to me and said "what's wrong, I can tell something's bothering you." I looked down and said its nothing honey, I promise." He got really stern with me because he knows I'm lying. I asked why he seemed mad. He said "honey I'm not mad, I just want to know what's bothering you, i hate seeing you upset" I blew off the subject because I wasn't quite ready to bring it up. I wanted to talk about it when we had the time and when Louis wasn't around.

I went into the laundry room to finish washing clothes and folding them. I pull out a pair of Keanu's jeans and notice there's a piece of paper sticking out of his pocket. I pull it out and open it up, Keanu walks in about that time and I hurry and hide the paper. He asked why I was so jumpy and I said "you just scared me that's all" he said "oh well I'm going to go to the gym to workout, if you need me just call me." He gave me a kiss on the lips and walked out the door. I went to go find the piece of paper and realized I dropped it down the vent. "Oh shit" I said quietly. I opened up the vent and reached my hand down there. It was dusty and gross. I finally felt the paper and pulled it out. I uncrumbled it and there was a faded phone number. I crumbled it up and threw it in the trash.

I started to feel tears running down my face. I hurried and wiped them away so Louis wouldn't see. Keanu comes back through the door about 5 minutes after he had left. He said he forgot his wallet, grabbed it off the table and came over to me to give me another kiss goodbye. He asked "have you been crying?" I obviously couldn't tell him no, because it was clear I had been, so I said yes. He held me close and said "tell me what's wrong babe" I said can we discuss this later tonight once Louis has gone to bed. He couldn't argue and said yes.

Once Keanu left I went into the trash can and dug up the piece of paper. I got my phone out and started to dial the number. I contemplated back and fourth weather or not I should press call. The next thing I knew the phone was ringing and ringing. Right before the voice mail picked up a voice came on and said "hello?"...
