Chapter 24 The Vows

Keanu's p.o.v

I turned to Sandy and held both of her hands in mine. "Baby please, you can do this. Your a strong women and I know you have the guts to walk down the isle and feel beautiful. Because you are, inside and out. Everyone knows you are. You don't need to impress anyone anyways. You have a husband that loves you and a family that does too. So be strong hold your head up high and let's make the most out of this. I wanna have fun tonight. Okay?"

Sandy p.o.v

"Baby I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way. What you did for me is beautiful and so thoughtful. I should have thanked you first and I prolly disappointed you. This prolly isn't the reaction you were expecting out of me and I'm sorry. I shouldn't be worrying about what I look like when I'm in such a beautiful dress and to have a wonderful family that surrounds me. I'm sorry"

I took Keanu's hand and pulled him toward the isle. "Let's do this" I said with a smile. Keanu kissed my forehead as we walked. I felt like the luckiest women. I had a family that came out of town to be here and I have the most wonderful husband and son that surprised me with this.. I was one lucky women.

Once we reached the end of the isle Louis was standing there holding the rings. He looked so adorable. I just wanted to go pick him up and squeeze him... He gave the rings to Keanu and ran back to sit with Gesine. Keanu slid the ring on my finger. It took my breath away. It's was huge and gorgeous and I loved it. I looked up at Keanu was tears "it's beautiful" I whispered. I did the same. I slide Keanu's ring on his finger... Since we were renewing our vows it wasn't like a traditional wedding. Keanu and I both said something's about each other to our families. Keanu spoke first...

Keanu's speech

Well baby. 8 years ago, we pledged to live as one. We created a family and a life together then, and now in the beginning of our 9th year together, I renew my vows to love and honor you." "When we married 8 years ago, I vowed to love and honor through sickness and in health until death do us part and that has been tested within the last two years. Today, in front of God and family, I renew my vows to you."

"I know we haven't been married a tremendous amount of time but this was special too me. I felt like it was the right time to do this so I just went with it. I just want to let you know how much I adore you and how much you mean to me. If it wasn't for you I'd prolly be lost. My life wouldn't be the same without you and Louis. You complete me and you make every day worth living. When there's not much left in life showing your the light at the end of the tunnel. We have of course been through rough patches like every couple but we work through them together and that's what makes our marriage work.

Sandy's speech

"Well I don't know if I can top that... I've said too many speeches to count or even remember but this one I will surely remember. Just to warn you all I'm taking a trip down memory lane. Well honey. when I first met you it was like love at first sight... Pretty cheesy huh. I knew I liked you but I wasn't sure if you liked me back. We were shooting the movie Speed together and I couldn't wait for that kissing scene. It was like the only thing that was getting me through. Knowing I would eventually kiss you... I laughed thinking about how young we both were. It was like young love. We lived off each other. We couldn't go days without talking and the days we did, I felt like I was having withdraws. I'm pretty sure not being able to talk to you was like not being able to smoke. That's how in love I was. And if that doesn't tell ya something idk what does. Well Keanu. Your the love of my life and I mean that. When we married we both didn't know what to expect. We took the risk and if our marriage did end up falling apart it would have made us both better people. But we took the risk because we loved each other and we promised to love each other through sickness and in health and that's what I'm doing. Loving you through every bad, sad and happy moments. I love you baby.

Sandy's p.o.v

Within seconds after I finished my speech Keanu swooped me off my feet and kissed me aggressively. "I love you" he whispered as he carried me down the isle. I love you too, I whispered back. "So what now?" I asked. Keanu laughed and said "the honey moon of course"
