Lara looked at them and took time to process their reaction before she finally understood what they were talking about.
“ooh noo no ”
She was shaking her head repeatedly and blushing hiding her face.
Today on sweet revenge :
Lara wished the floor will just open and swallow her. She couldn't look up to face her family who were already laughing at her.
“haa make una stop to de laff me na ” she begged
“ Lara u no go kill person wit dah ur mouth ” Mike couldn't stop laughing. He was clutching his stomach still laughing. “c as my belle de pain me because of ur talk.. U suppose see ur face wen u been de shake ur head. Hahahaha ”
“Mike stop to de laff my Pikin ” Grandpa said looking as if he was feeling for Lara “ buh Lara ur face resemble cat own wen u been de shake ur head ” Grandma and Mike burst into another round of laughter. So much for thinking Grandpa was trying to stop Mike from teasing her.
They all joked and gisted.After lunch Mike left to go do something at home. Grandma called Lara into the room to talk to her.
“grandma, kilosele ? ”
“nothing I jes wan ask u something ”
“OK so Wetin b dah ”
“y u nd ur husband never go close to each other? ”
“go close asin aw grandma? ”
“u know Wetin I mean Omolara so answer me ”
“nothing ..e jes never happen ”
“Lara.. Lara.. Lara Aw many tyms I call u? ”
“three tyms MA ”
“Man nd woman marry for almost two months, dem never touch each other nd u de tell me say “e never jes happen ” Grandma's voice was no longer low it was becoming louder by the minute.
“Grandma I de tell u no problem e jes never happen.. Maybe bcoz iyn de busy ” Lara tried explaining to Grandma although she herself was confused she didn't know the reason they haven't had sex yet. She didn't read any meaning to it atlest not until now.
“ haa aye mi temi bami.. See Wetin dis gal de talk oo Wetin u know ” grandma stood up and started pacing back and forth “no matter how man take busy dem de always get tym for dah one. And u sure say una no get problem? ”
“yes Ma, I don tell u before u just de worry for nothing ”
“hmmm I know Wetin I de talk buh if you say no problem den I believe you but anytym una get problem no take tym before you tell me oo”
