CHAPTER NINETEEN : Surprise 😳😲

Tiwa's POV

"  He left out certain information....why?" Incompetence wasn't acceptable when dealing with someone like me. When I ask people do something, i expect a perfect job after all they're being paid.

" I spoke to him about it and he said he didn't think that particular information was important " I honestly didn't know why Mike was trying to defend that dumb P.I

" He doesn't get to decide which information is important and which isn't. I pay for his service don't I? when I ask for information about a certain person it means I want to know everything there's to know about such person, from what he or she does down to what he or she eats. Do i have to teach these investigators their job?"

" Tiwa calm down. You're making a big deal out of this little slip up " Mike was rubbing his temples clearly I was driving him crazy.

" Isn't it a big deal, you could imagine the shock on my face when I found out he has a girlfriend . What other information do I even know that this guy failed to report " we were sitting in my office at home which is where we discuss confidential matters because of my children.

" He has a girlfriend.. so what!. How does that change anything or is there another reason why you are this piss?" I didn't like the face Mike was giving me.

"What other reason could there be? All I know is I no longer need his services and that's final."

"Fine, have it your way as usual "

It been a week since my arrival and I just couldn't get my mind off what happened at the party.  Here I was suffering on the inside for seven years and he was busy making a good life for himself with his girlfriend.  She isn't that pretty anyways  I thought to myself.

"Can we be on our way now?" Mike said standing up.

"Where are we going to?" I asked, not remembering any event or meeting I had to attend.

" we're meeting up Bruno, remember?"

" oh..yeah I forgot " I grabbed my phone    and stood up following Mike out of my office.

Mike and I met Bruno the day I was kicked out of the Villa. He helped us and we never knew anything about him until recently Mike came across him in a business meeting.  He was the bodyguard to one of the business men. 

So today I was going to the agency he works under. I plan on getting him out of the agency to have him work for me. It won't be easy seeing as he is already assigned to someone but there's no string the Animashaun's name can't pull.

The agency had their office located in Yaba. I didn't like going to do certain business personally but I had to because I wanted to to this myself.

We got there and went straight to business. They accepted my offer of  two million in exchange for bruno, as his resignation from the agency before five years elapse was a breach of their contract. So I just paid them off Obviously.

We finished what we came for and headed back home . Inside the car I filled bruno in on his work description with me.

" Tiwa thank you for getting me out of that agency.  The pay was little and we put our lives on the line protecting those politicians and businessmen "Bruno said

"You're welcome besides you shouldn't thank me too much as you'll also be working for me " I was no saint I had plans on using bruno for my revenge.

"Yes I know and I'll prefer working for you. Despite the whole change I know you're still the same sweet Lara that I met years ago." What he said touched a nerve. I hate being called Lara, it made me feel weak and inferior. I'm Tiwa .
