EPILOGUE

A YEAR LATER

" Mum!! Dad is here!" Nikki's voice echoed round the house. I retouched my makeup with the powder brush before heading downstairs. 

Shola and the kids were waiting at the bottom of the stairs. When Shola noticed me walking down his smile widen,ogling me without shame. I used the opportunity to check him out too. He looked hot as usual in his mustard kaftan hugging his broad chest in a nice  way.

"Are you done gawking?" I said when I got to the bottom.

"Like you weren't checking me out yourself " he bit back with a smirk.

"Whatever. You're late" I wouldn't admit that.

"Were you missing me?" He said grinning.

"Don't flatter yourself " I rolled my eyes at his comment. "The program is starting by 10:30 and look its almost ten. It's your fault if we get there late."

"Chill baby, it's Nigeria they will never start by the stated time. African time remember " he emphasized on the African time. "You look beautiful by the way " I smiled at him saying thank you. I was putting on a purple  and yellow wrapped dress paired with a transparent 5inches heel.

"You don't look bad yourself " that wasn't a lie. He was effortlessly handsome.

"Obviously, that's why you can't take your eyes off me" here we go again with his egotistical comments.

"Mum..Dad let's go " Lekan said stopping me from saying what I wanted to Shola. We both laughed a little. That was how we always got carried away with our little tug of words each time we were with the kids.

"Yes yes let's get going " Shola said.

Mike and Victoria walked into the living area holding each other. Yes they started dating some months ago and were getting pretty serious.

"You guys are still here? I thought you left already." Mike said to me " Hey man What'sup?" He and Shola exchanged pleasantries. They now got along well.

"We are just leaving thanks  to him" I pointed  at Shola " Vickky are you almost done packing ?" I asked her

"Yes and I already informed Moyo to pack theirs " she gestured to Lekan and Nikki. My moyo was  my kids nanny   She and Mike looked like they were heading out also.

"We're going to get souvenirs for her folks " Mike answered before I asked.

Victoria was going to visit her family in London and she asked Mike to go with her. Like I said they were getting serious. I decided to let my kids tag along so they could see all their old friends b'cos they've been disturbing me about wanting to travel but I was busy at work. Victoria didn't mind at all  and was all glad to travel with them.

"Okay..you guys have fun,shopping for souvenirs . Get some for the kids to give their friends. " We all headed out and got into our separate cars. We were going with Shola's car. He was driving while I sat at the passenger seat at the front and the kids were at the back.

It was the Speech and prize ceremony at the kids school and that was where we were headed.

"Lola called me, she said they are almost there." I said and Shola nodded.

The kids started talking of all the places they would go to when they get to London. I wished I could go with them but I had so much to do at work and couldn't just leave right then but it was perfect for them since their school break starts the day they were leaving.

"I would miss you guys so much. I would be alone" I pouted. My kids, PA and best friend travelling at the same time wasn't an easy one for me.

"No you won't, I'm here with you " Shola grinned lifting my hand from my side kissing  it with his other hand on the steering.Lekan and Nikki giggled my face felt hot and I removed my hand from his. He glanced at me and I turned the other way looking out the window.
