Chapter 26: Just trying to be friends

Bon Bon's P.O.V

"Fuck I can't sleep!" I said turning around under the table; I couldn't sleep for whatever reason. I kept tossing and turning endlessly for the past couple minutes. I felt kinda lonely to be honest, without Bonnet or the others. Ever since this mission, I've haven't had time to talk to Freddy or even relax for a bit. Everyone minute there was a problem with Springtrap that interfered with any time of taking a break. Freddy was busy trying to keep us all organized and fix these problems all the time. It didn't permit any time or devote to anything or anyone else. And everyone else was probably all asleep, but perhaps I could check to see if anyone was else was awake besides me. "I need a walk," I said to myself while moving out from under the table. I decided to sleep there, because it was comfortable for me. Sure it was an odd place, but it works for me. I was still able to see, considering how dark this place was. I could see Mangle sleeping on the stage by herself. It made me wonder how someone like her ended up with crazy Springtrap. I know everyone wants to help him, but can we? I'd never seen someone so crazy before until I met him. If he ends up killing one of us, it better not be me. I walked towards the direction of the security office to check if Freddy and Foxy were up. Considering my size I could see them sitting in a chair sleeping together. I let out a smile because it was adorable. "Guess I should try drifting off to sleep then," I said to myself while leaving the office. I just wanted to go to sleep at this point, I was getting bored. But as I walked in, I saw Shadow. He was sitting at one of the tables, just staring into nothingness. Golden Freddy said he was supposed to be watching this place, I guess he was doing just that. But I had an urge to talk to him, possibly an excuse to not go back to sleep. I walked over to him and climbed on top of the table. "Sup!" I greeted him. He looked at me, but didn't say anything. He then looked back. "Is he trying to ignore me?" I thought. You could never tell with this dude, he held a lot in him. He had a lot to hide. He never expressed his feelings or anything about himself, he always kept it to himself. It was like a chest filled with secrets that could never be opened. "So? Watching the place?" I asked. He looked at me again, except he actually said something. "Yeah." That was his only response, which was kinda pointless. But what was I expecting. "You consider Mangle and Springtrap friends?" I asked trying to make conversation with him. "Why are you asking me these questions?" he asked. He seemed like he wasn't in the mood for chat right now, but when was he ever. Usually he words to say, points to make, but not this time. Recently he was keeping to himself, not saying anything. Maybe there was something wrong with him? And I had to exploit it. "Sorry, I need someone to talk to. Just trying to be friends here right?" I said. "Right," he said while looking away. He seemed to be thinking of something else, something important. He was distracted, focused on an important matter. "I just haven't had time to talk to Freddy because of Springtrap, he's been interfering with our quest every minute. I can't fucking take him! One minute he's enraged, another he's using superpowers! It's pure insanity!" I said. "Everything has changed because of this, I wish it was back to what it originally was." Shadow actually looked at me, showing an interest for that I'd said. "Can you explain?" he asked. I actually was a bit surprised at this, but I let that pass. "Before you and your friends showed up, even before Freddy's occurrence, it was just us," I explained. "Me, Bonnet, Baby, Ballora, Foxy, Lolbit, Yenndo, Ennard, Bidybab, and Minirenna. All of us having fun together and enjoying ourselves. That was until the day Freddy came to our location, he was different in many ways, but that was what we loved about him. He showed us different things about life; he even passed on his own ways and changed us, to humans." "Is that why you cuss a lot?" asked Shadow. "Ok maybe. But that's not the point," I said. "He offered us a new life, and we took it. A life of a family. It felt so right, we belonged with each other, it felt like nothing could change that. But you know reality has a way to fuck you in every way." "I'm guessing you're referring to Springtrap," asked Shadow. "Yep, I am," I responded. "When he, Mangle, and you came to our house and asked for Freddy's help, alongside with Golden Freddy I didn't want to at first. I didn't want to get involved with my chances of being scrap, I didn't want to risk my life. I was a coward, I didn't want to take any chances. But I knew that our life was already inserted into jeopardy, and that it would never be the same. The only we would get it back was by fixing it, and I was going to reverse that." "You know, you remind me of someone I once knew," said Shadow. "Seriously?" I asked. "Yes. Before I was... this, I was a human. Me and him worked at this pizzeria for a short time. And while it lasted it was the most enjoyable time here. He was always talkative like you, almost to be exact," he explained. "What happened to him?" I asked. He didn't say anything for a moment, and for a second it seemed he wasn't going to tell me. But he had the courage to tell his tale. "The Spring-Lock suits malfunctioned, killing us both," he explained. "It's a memory I wish I could erase from my mind forever, but it only stays to remind me of him." "I'm sorry," I said. "You don't have to be, we've all lost apart of ourselves, only to lose what is most important to us," he responded. I was gone for words, that was a lot. But I felt I understood him more, he had more to him than what we thought. He never chose this life, just like us. "Oh, I see you've actually came-forth about your past huh?" We both turned to see someone standing in the hallway, staring back at us. "Why have you returned?" asked Shadow Freddy. "Just to see an old friend." It was RXQ, he had found us. "What the fuck, why are you here?!" I asked him. "Oh! Just here for a little revenge," he responded. "What game are you trying to play today?" asked Shadow Freddy. All of a sudden, things came from behind him from the darkness. They were animatronics, sinister ones. There was a Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and a wolf. They all had sharp claw, teeth, and weird bubbly things on them. Everything about them was out of place, they were different, but not nightmares. They were twisted ones. "A fun game," responded RXQ. "I twisted game."
