9.| The Kiss

Your POV

I stood there and watched the nurse patch up the small bruise and cut on the right side of his lip. I saw how he was gripping the bed sheets, trying to hold in the pain. It made me even more mad at ChengCheng.

I walked over and held his hand, calm him down. I immediately felt him ease up.

"Now. How did you get this again?" The nurse asked, writing stuff down. I was about to say Fan ChengCheng, but Ling Chao had already answered.

"Some student I don't know,"

"Fair enough. You'll be fine, just clean that part before going to bed and you'll be fine," We both thanked the nurse as she left. I sat down next to him and apologized.

"I'm very sorry about ChengCheng... punching you and all,"

"Don't worry about it. Thanks for standing up for me... I think you're the manliest girl I've ever met,"  I hit him playfully as he said so. "That's not manly. I'm just standing up for the right reasons,"

"C'mon, school is about to end. Let's get a head start on leaving, hm?" I suggested, he took me up on the offer. We both headed out of school when I saw ChengCheng and his girlfriend. They were both staring at me, when Seohyun looked away, taking his arms making them wrap around her.

Chao shook his head as he wrapped his right around my waist. I was in shock of what he was doing.

"What are you doing?" I whispered. He just smiled and said, "Don't worry about it,"

I glared at ChengCheng at the corner of my eyes. I watched his glare back, as he lets out a scoff.

"Does it still hurt?" ChengCheng yelled. I shot a glare at him while he just chuckled a bit. I wanted to walk over there and punch him back, but Ling Chao stopped me.

"Don't bother,"

"Ling Chao-ah! She's just using you!" He yells another comment.

"You should care about the girl beside you first before you care about mine," Chao said, making me laugh a bit, and thankfully that made ChengCheng shut up.

"Chao-ah, are you sure you'll be okay to go home?" I asked, checking on his lip.

"Yes Yuejia, and if you really don't believe me, then you can come over and check on me yourself," I let out a small scoff at his remark. I pulled out my phone and handed it to him.

"What's this for?"

"For you to put in your phone number, so I can ask for your address later," Chao nodded as he typed it in.

"I just texted to myself, so now I have your's too," He said leaning in closer. I grabbed my phone back and smirked.

"You are moving too fast Ling Chao," I teased. With that, I stepped back and went home in my direction.

Since I left school a bit early like I think about 15 minutes early. Jiang wasn't home yet. So I decided to be a good friend to make her some food. Funny how the moment I finished, she walked through the door.

"Wow, look skipped class early," She said sarcastically. I grabbed a plate and placed the fried rice onto it, and brought it over to her.

"I'm sorry! But I went home early for a reason, and hey... I made you are favourite~!"

"You are forgiven," Jiang said before grabbing the plate, scooping it with her spoon and taking a bite. 

"Oh! So tell me why you went home early again?" She asked. I sat down beside her and explained to her why. "ChengCheng punched Ling Chao, so I helped him to the infirmary, by the time he was done there were only 20 minutes left. So I decided to go home,"

Jiang raised her brow at me. "Wait, wait. Back up. Fan ChengCheng, your ex-boyfriend punched your current one?"

"No! Well-yes! Ling Chao isn't my boyfriend, we're just friends. And yes it was my ex-boyfriend, Fan ChengCheng,"

"Tch. Quote on quote friends. But you know what that means right?"

"No?"

"It means that ChengCheng still likes you, or maybe he's just a jerk at Ling Chao," She said. I shooked my head.

"He's probably just a jerk to Ling Chao like he is to almost everyone,"

"Hm. Think what you want. But I see what you don't my friend," She sang before getting up. I laid down on the couch and began to think. 

What if he does still like me?

Around 5, I texted Chao, telling him to send me his address. Within seconds he replied with it.

"Jiang I'm going out! I'll be back in an hour!" I yelled before leaving.

"Kay~!"

I made my way to his neighbourhood and found it quite beautiful. Like where he lives is nice. Once I got to his house, I knocked on it twice and waited, about 5 seconds later the door opened, revealing him.

"Hey~!"

"Hi!" He greeted back. He moved to the side and offered me to come in. I accepted.

I looked around his house and saw how clean it was.

"Where are your, parents?"

"They are currently abroad, and plus I live with 3 other guys," I nodded in understanding. "I see you still haven't cleaned that wound," 

Chao smiled sheepishly as he touched it. "Yeah... I was kinda wanting you to do it," 

"Psh! Really?" I question. Chao nodded, showing me his large marble eyes.

"Fine, come here. I'll clean it. Come here," We both sat down on the sofa. I carefully removed the bandaged area. 

"It is bad?" He asks. "It's yellow, green. Not so pretty," I replied casually. I used a cotton pad and a bit of rubbing alcohol and cleaned it. Gently as my hand held his chin in place, while my other wiped it.

I felt his stare, piercing through me.

Once I was done, I bandaged it with a new one and smiled.

"There you go, all clean," I said. I was about to remove my hand away from him, he stopped me by holding my wrist back.

"Hm? Do need any-" Before I could finish my question. Chao pulled my wrist closer, bringing me in. I was millimetres away from his lips. 

We were so close I could hear his heart beating, while I felt his steady breathing.

We stared into each other's eyes for a bit. They were so large and beautiful. He slowly leans closer. I closed my eyes, feeling his lips on mine.

His kiss was soft and gentle. So alluring.

We both pulled away. I could still feel his lips on mine... slowly I opened my eyes to see that he was still inches away from me. 

"Yuejia-ah... I really like you,"
