45.| She's Jealous

ChengCheng's POV

"Adam~! Let's go eat at this new restaurant!"

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "No. I don't want to. You're so annoying. I told you that I'm not interested in you. Please leave me alone!" I expressed as we were both walking to the convenience store, which happens to be 7-Eleven. But it's not as good as the ones in Asia. These ones are like only for chips and cold drinks.

"Hm... but I like you though."

Oh, my god. This woman is unbelievable.

"Please. You are so. So. So freaking annoying. Do you even know what personal space is?..." I sighed harshly. But she just continues to smile and pretends that all my direct words to her are nothing but compliments.

-PHONE CALL-

Mama

"Hello?"

"ChengCheng-ah. Come home. Your father and sister are going to China this week. They want you to come along."

My eyes lighted up instantly.

"Really? I-I'll come home when I'm done buying some snacks!"

-END OF PHONE CALL-

"Who was that?" Angie asked.

"None of your business. Just buy something. I'll pay and head back."

"Wow. This is the first time you answered back in English. How sexy."

"Shut up."

When I got all the snack and drinks I wanted, We headed back to my house but this fucking woman, would not leave me alone!

It is impossible to ask for personal space because I truly believe it does not exist in her vocabulary.

"Mama! I'm home." I yelled once we both entered the front door. Mama came rushing downstairs with a smile on her face.

"Oh, my goodness. Did you come here with Yingyi? Did you guys have fun?"

"No."

"Yes."

We both answered differently at the same time. I glared at her while she smiled at me.

"U-Uhm. ChengCheng. Why don't you go upstairs to your father's study? He would like to talk to you. Yingyi-ah. Help me make lunch?"

"Of course, auntie!"

I headed upstairs and knocked on Baba's door.

"Come in."

I twisted the door handle and pushed it slightly, poking my head in to see jiejie, brother-in-law and baba sitting and waiting for me.

"ChengCheng. Come in. And close the door." Baba demanded.

I did as I was told and sat down next to baba.

"What's up?"

"Your mama already told you that. But the main reason we are going back is that your sister is going to make her first appearance after the scandal at the IQYUI's press."

I looked over to jiejie and gege with concern. "Jiejie. Are you sure your ready?"

"Yeah... It's been 5 years. I think it's time for me to get back out there."
