Your POV

On the last day of our trip, the whole class went out and explored the place without having to do anything. We had our last breakfast, lunch and dinner. At night; Jiang, LouLou, Yorong and I, the 4 of us decided to stay up and sneak out later when everyone was asleep.

"Yuejia-ah! You are crazy if you wanna do this."

A smirk appeared on your face as you agreed once again to yourself. "Uh, hell yeah we're doing this!"

Yorong slammed her face into her pillow before groaning, "Ughhhhh. I don't even know why I agree to these things! Like seriously... I could die from just walking in the dark."

"Aha... Yorong-ah. Can you not be like... I don't know. That scared?" Jiang said as she slipped on her arms into her jacket, while still, Yorong. Laying on her bed. Dreading like we're about to purge or something.

Like I don't know. She was making this a huge deal. When really, it shouldn't. We just wanna go out and look at the stars for a bit, then head back.

"Yorong, you don't have to come it you don't wanna."

"Aha. Fine, fine. I'll come. But-"

"But what Yorong?" LouLou whined, throwing her head back.

"-we should only go for about an hour or 30 minutes." She says twiddling her thumbs like a five your old asking for candy.

"Ai... fine fine. We'll only go for an hour or so." I said as I sat down on her bed, patting her back. "Mhm? Is that good for baby Yorong?"

"Aha! You the baby in the group Yuejia!" She complained.

"I know, I am. But your the one who's acting like it." I defend.

The 4 of us slowly walked out of our cabins, passing the other dorms.

"Hey. Yuejia, your not scared of the outside anymore?" LouLou whispered to me.

"Well... I still hate it. But I kinda found a reason to enjoy it. Like plus... my family lives near the forest."

"No. Your family lives in the damn mountain. That is why you lived with me for 10 years." Jiang said, emphasizing what I said in another way.

"Yes, yes. I lived on the mountain and that is why I lived with yiyi, shushu and my favourite Jiang." I said back, linking both our arms together.

The 4 of us sat on a rock and sighed, staring out at the stars.

"It's beautiful." Yorong breathed out.

"Agree." The rest of us said.

And indeed it was. It's beautiful, it's absolutely beautiful. I love how the night sky is being lighted up by a bright moon and stars. Just... speechless.

"I can't believe this is the last night here."

"You should be happy about it," LouLou said emotionlessly.

The 4 of us rested our heads against one another's shoulders and smiled.

"This was probably one of the best school trips ever," Jiang said.

"Speaking about that, who's the boy you were talking to the other day?" Yorong asked in her innocent, soft voice.

"Oh? Him? He's this guy I like."

"Ooh~!" The 3 of us fangirled, while Jiang smiled secretly.

"Oh, stop it. It's no big deal."

"Yeah. The most badass girl likes a boy, totally not a big deal." I said back sarcastically, only to earn a smack on my head.

"Do not use that tone Zhen Yuejia." Jiang threatened.

"Okok. I'm sorry. But, tell us. What is he like?"

She then inhaled sharply. "He's sweet and cute. He also likes my badass side, that's a bonus."

"Oh, I like him already," LouLou smirks.

"Hpmh! Yeah. Well, he's mine."

"He is not yours-" Yorong pauses for a sec, before saying, "-yet."

__________

The next morning. The 4 of us woke up. Tired and really hungry.

Around 7 am, we began to pack up all of our stuff and bid our goodbyes to our room.

"Ah. One week has passed and I was finally getting used to the bed." I said, taking one last look at it.

"Baby Yuejia-ah. Are you gonna miss your bed here now?" Jiang teases, draping her arm over my shoulder.

"Maybe I will," I answered back in a baby voice, making Jiang pat my head. "Don't worry, you'll get over it."

"Hey, guys! We need to get on the bus now!" You Zhangjing yelled through the wall.

"We'll be out soon!!" The 4 of us yelled back in unison.

When we were all on the bus, including that bitch Seohyun, everyone took their seats. But, the thing is.

Jiang ditched me for this boy she met.

So there was an empty seat next to me. I didn't really care until someone sat down.

"Fan ChengCheng? Why are you sitting here?" I asked, scrunching up my nose.

"Because I wanted to. Why you gotta a problem with that?" He challenges.

"Kinda."

"Why? Were friends now." He says casually.

I shook my head slightly as I put both my earbuds in.

"No, we're not actually. I think the term to use is acquaintances or frenemies."

Even though as hurtful as it sounds. It was true.

We weren't friends. Because I he broke my trust many times. It's hard to trust someone who doesn't trust you enough.

I will say this, he did save me, and I owe him that. But being close to him will only hurt me; that's something I don't need right now. Not in the last year of high school.

"Well, aren't you sweet?" He sarcastically says, rolling his eyes.

"I am. Were finally leaving the place where I could've died. So yes. I'm happy."

"Well. Goodbye nature."
