33.| "A Love So Beautiful"

Your POV

4 Months left until school we graduate... 4 months. There is still so much time though.

"Yuejia. Why don't you take a break from studying? Hm?" LouLou suggested.

I placed my pen down and shook my head.

"I can't-"

"Yes, you can. The final exam isn't in about 3 months, I honestly don't know what your studying for."

"It's best to study ahead of time. You know."

"No, it's not. You basically have no life now. What happened to the popular girl who flirted with every guy, and got every single guy."

"That was before my father died. Plus, I got about 95% of the guys in our school, the other 5% weren't as attractive. Or... Jiang, Yorong or you liked them. So I left them alone." I winked before giving her a smug smile.

LouLou rolled her eyes at me. "I know, I know. But, still. You have one guy still wrapped around your finger." She says, followed up with a finger twirling action.

"Oh, yeah? Who?"

"Fan ChengCheng."

"Can you please stop bringing up his name. It's kinda getting annoying." I groaned slightly. LouLou seemed to have sensed I was upset.

"So you're still pissed at him.?" LouLou asked, raising one brow up with suspicion.

"No, it's just I find it useless you keep bringing his name up for something related to my love life."

"Useless? Why is it useless?"

I tapped the end of my pen against my chin a few times, thinking about why it's actually dumb and useless.

"ChengCheng and I already dated. It didn't work out. He and I also admitted that we still have feelings for each other. But there isn't any trust between us. Like none! Natta!"

"Fine... I won't bring him up anymore. But hey... I was thinking about auditioning for the school play."

My eyes lighted up. "Really? When did we have a school play? And who were you thinking of auditioning as?"

She handed me a sheet of paper.

" "A Love So Beautiful". Oh? Isn't that the name of the drama?" LouLou nodded back and explained that our play was based off the original drama. "How cute. Do you think of playing the lead?"

She bit her lip and nodded. "Course I do! You know if I got the female lead as Chen Xiaozi, I would be so popular in school! All the boys would love me!"

"Tch. Riiiiight. They would all love you," I sarcastically said. "Don't forget, Chen Xiaozi is innocent. Her character is basically the complete opposite of yours."

LouLou just shrugged at me. "Whatever. I'm still gonna audition."

"Good luck my friend."

The next day. I saw Justin, Linong, Yanjun and Ruibin. They were all near the drama room. 

"Hey! Yuejia!" 

I walked over to them. "What's up?"

"We're going to audition for the play, are you?" Justin says excitedly. I shook my head and answered, "No. Sadly. I don't think I'm good enough. Plus, I don't have time."

Ruibin walked over to my side and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Yuejia. Because you are my best friend. I care for you. But, seriously. You need to stop. Your life isn't just about books, test, essays and university." 

I shrugged both my shoulders. "I know. But... without my education. I won't be able to get anywhere in life. I appreciate your concern. But I'll be fine. Good luck on your audition!" After that. I ran off in the library. 

I saw how packed it was, and there was only one spot which was cross from  Fan ChengCheng, and next to Bi Wenjun. 

"Nope. Not there." I mumbled to myself before trying to find another seat. But, luck wasn't on my side that. No got up from their seats- well actually, some did. But other students got there before I did. 

And before you question if the spot directly in front of ChengCheng is still there. Yes and no.

Why? Well, because some girls sat down in front of them, tried to flirt and talk to him. But he didn't really talk back, so they left, and that seat still remains.

"I wasted 20 minutes," I ran my fingers through my hair, swallowing my pride and everything. "I shall go sit down."

My feet lead me there; pulling out the chair, I noticed ChengCheng's eyes were just staring at me. Like lasers. 

I tried my best to shrug it off by pulling out my books and began to study. I would look up once and a while, just to catch him taking a glance at me.

When class started again, I packed up my things and headed to class. And right beside me was ChengCheng. 

We walked side by side. But I just acted like we were heading to the same destination. 

Then...

"Zhen Yuejia! I can't believe you!!" 

LouLou was suddenly screaming in front of me.

"LouLou-"

"Shut up you bitch!" 

I was taken back. 

"LouLou, calm down. What did I even do?!" She looked like a mess. 

"You took the lead role! You! Took the role I wanted most!!"

"What?..."
