ChengCheng's POV

After the business thing, I had for baba. It was time for me to return back to America.

I actually really wanted to leave now. Though as much as I missed and enjoy being with my boys... seeing Yuejia every day and not being able to be with her is killing me slowly.

I had all of my stuff in my suitcase and was standing at the gate waiting to go inside the plane.

"Yuejia-ah... I really hope that you are happy with him." I mumbled before heading inside.

The next 24 hours or so was tiresome for me.

When mama and baba came to get me, there was someone following them from behind.

"Oh? Mama, baba. Who is this?"

Mama then grabbed her hand and pulled her forward. "This is Cheung YingYi. This is my friends' daughter. I asked her to come today so she could meet you?"

I then got the idea of what mama was trying to do.

"Mama, can I talk to you?"

She followed me over to one side and smiled. "What is it, son?"

"Mama..." I whined. "Why are you doing this?"

"I heard from Zhu Zhengting that Zhen Yuejia has a boyfriend now... so I think it's time for you to find someone and get married."

I frowned. "Mama. I'm only 23... why must I get married now? Do you want me to be happy? And-"

"And what? You and Yuejia haven't talked in years. As much as I love that girl. She and you don't have a future together. So I think it's time for you to find someone else."

"No. Mama stop. I don't care. I don't need another woman. I'm still young-"

"Fan ChengCheng!" She half-whispers. "Please. Just get to know her at least."

I rolled my eyes and slipped my hands into my pockets. "Fine."

I'm just agreeing so mama won't have to worry about me. But I honestly and highly doubt that I would catch any feelings for this girl.

"Shall we go home now?" Baba says. Mama and I both smiled with a slight nod.

While we were walking that girl came up to and walked next to me.

"Hi. My name is Cheung Yingyi."

I put on a fake smile. "Nice to meet you. I guess you already know my name." I shrugged.

"Yeah. Um. Why don't we exchange WECHAT?"

I had no choice but to give it to her since mama was right in front of us. And knowing her. She is listening to our conversation.

Once we got home. I texted the boys and told them I was back home safely. I slumped down onto the couch and closed my eyes. Sighed hard.

"ChengCheng-"

"You can call me Adam," I say without opening my eyes. She says a cheerful 'okay' back and saying that she placed some fruits on the coffee table. The next thing I assumed that she had left back to mama, but I was wrong. She sat right next to me and rested her head on my shoulder. I instantly felt uncomfortable and tried to shrug her off.

"W-What are you doing?"

"What's wrong Adam? I'm just resting with you." I shook my head.

"S-Stop. I don't feel comfortable!" I exclaimed before heading upstairs to my room. I slammed the door loudly and groaned.

"Ugh!! I just wanted to come home and rest. Now I have to deal with her now!" I jumped on my bed with my teeth slightly gritted.

I miss her. I don't know how I'm supposed to forget her. I don't know how she forgot me. Is she that heartless?...

And before I knew it. I fell asleep.

Though it was still early for sleeping. I just needed a nap. But who knew that I would dream about her.

She was happy.

 We were happy.

It's funny... I would actually dream about her sometimes in the past. How we met... and a perfect world, where all the mistakes we did never exist. But this dream... was more of a nightmare.

It was a world where we never met. Where I never asked her out or dated. None of that ever happened. And I actually hated it... even though she lived a more carefree life... I couldn't stand it, and as of me. I went to a different school and indeed I... had a normal carefree life. I also had this girlfriend too. But her face was blurred out.

I wanted to know more on her, but I ended up being woken up by mama.

"ChengCheng-ah... wake up. It's dinner time."

"Hmm..." I groaned slightly and rubbed my eyes. I followed mama downstairs and to our dining table, where I saw Yingyi still here.

I sat next to her and ate quietly and quickly as possible. Just to avoid anything that might come up.

When I finished eating. I got up and left the dinner table. And usually, I don't do this because it's disrespectful, though tonight I felt like I was needed.

"Fan ChengCheng. Where are you going?" Baba spoke up.

I sighed hard and answered. "I'm going for a walk. Don't worry. I'll be back early."

And as I was about to leave. Mama suggested Yingyi should join me. In which... I just stayed silent and waited for her.

When we were walking. She tried linking her arms with me. But I kept on shrugging her off. It got to a point where I got very, very annoying so I snapped a little.

"Yingyi! Why are you like this?! Weren't you born here? Why are you so touchy!?"

"First. You can call me Angie. Second. Even if I was born here. That doesn't change the fact that I'm Chinese. And being touchy is just a way of showing my affection towards you."

"Stop. I want you to know that I will never be interested in you! Okay! I suggest that you should just find someone else." I expressed before turning my back and continue to walk.

"Adam!" She calls and grabs my arm. "I don't care if you don't like me now! I will make you fall in love with me!"

Love...

Me? Loving someone else. Tch.

I scoffed at her. "You are so childish and naivë. You know nothing about love."
