Your POV

Every day should be treated as a new day.

Funny how people say that because a new day doesn't make you forget about the day past 24 hours. However, in my case. I somehow did forget.

But, let me keep you up today.

So after the whole thing in Japan. We returned back to China, back to our jobs and whatnot. The hotel project with ChengCheng is almost done. The opening day is next week.

And... let's just say for us, things have been quite uh... intimate?

ChengCheng and I have been getting closer, and I guess you could say we're reconnecting. After 5 years of silent mode. I feel like we have a chance of getting things back to normal. Although he has been trying to do that, I just never saw it.

But anyways. Yesterday, I woke up in a hotel room at 11 in the morning. It was weird. I don't quite remember how I ended up here. Thankfully I'm still fully clothed. My head is pounding, which means I have a wicked hangover.

"Up already?"

I snapped my neck over to a familiar voice.

And once I found out that it was him. I felt more comfortable and relaxed.

"Ha. Is it too early? I presume that 11:00 am is late." He walked over to with only a towel wrapped around his waist.

"Well. You want me to give you a rewind of what happened yesterday?"

"Please. I would love that."

He headed over to me and smirked.

"Yesterday was a dinner party at your company, but then things got more alcohol-ish, so you kissed me. I kissed you. But don't worry. Nothing else happened."

"Hm. I seem to somewhat remember. Where did you sleep?"

ChengCheng chuckled before he grabbed a shirt and threw it on.

You might be wondering. Why am I not freaking out that we are sharing a hotel room... well because it's not really the first time this has happened. And I feel insanely comfortable about it.

"Well. I need to get changed." I exclaimed as I kicked the blankets to the side and hopped off the bed.

"Hey!" He yelled, getting my attention.

"Yeah?"

"Are you going anywhere today? I know it's your day off."

"I'm going to see my mother. Why?"

"Great! I'll go with you."

"No- You don't have to!"

ChengCheng then raised both his brows. "What? Are you scared about me seeing your mother? I met her own already, remember?"

I closed my eyes and shook my head. "No. That's not what I meant. I just think it's a hassle for you."

"No," He walks over and pecks my lips. "Just let me join you."

"Fine."

__________

ChengCheng drove to my mama's house. Obviously it takes fewer hours to get to her house since now she lives near me now, rather in the freaking mountains.

Both of us walked to mama's front door. I fiddled with my keys, trying to find the one that opens her door. But before I could even find it, mama had already swung open the door and smiled brightly.
