You.

You're warm and safe

A comfort that stings

Something sacred and soft

A blemish I refuse to rid myself of

Like rain in spring

Smiles in sunlight

But there are no smiles in sunlight

Not anymore.

There is only silence

And avoidance.

Burning truth that drowns

The vivid technicolour moment

I had fallen into

We are nothing

And it seems we were

Never anything.

Something Out Of Anything:

We were an inferno

Sparks igniting as embers flew

Singed lips and burnt fingers

Flames like racing hands

But flames die down

And embers cease to glow

And eventually we were snuffed out

But I know it was something.

It had to be.

Please let it be something out of anything.

~ J.K.M.
