The Irony In Burning A Match At Both Ends:

Like a flame lit at two ends,

Racing to a timely end,

Destined to burn

And wether that entails being suffocated or not

We don't know yet.

Let's just hope

The irony won't be lost on us

If we burn out from being lit

At two ends.

Innocence Lost:

A hazy stir that wakes me at the best of times,

Bruised skin against

Rough lips and rougher teeth.

Peace of mind for a handful

Of sweating hours.

Innocence lost.

Or was it even there to begin with?

~J.K.M.
