Claim To Your Gods:

I will unfurl my hands to the above

When my suffering has subsided

To your gods in the beyond

Explain to me

Why

I feel the way that I do

Because how can whatever gods you all worship

Bring such pain

What does it bring, what does it gain?

I will let my fingers open wide

When I understand

Why your gods continue

To make a mockery of me

My clenched fist

Will not differ until.

Pockets Full Of Stones:

Walking to the shore

One by one

As the weight in my heart pulls under

I will let another stone out

I will let it fall to the ground

Rupturing the earth like we were intended to do

Feet now dragging to the shore

Intentions becoming unsure

I will continue to let the rocks out of my pockets

One by one

Before I reach the waters edge

And I thank you

For convincing me I could do so.

I am eternally grateful

To the ones who ripped the seams of my pockets

And put the strength back in my hands

To grab fists full of stone

And throw them back.
