Civilian Casualties:

Wounded like an animal with no pride

Retreating to fester until the sunrise

A war I have in mind

I'm just trying to find some fucking

Peace in my time

But it's all too loud

In the house that's too quiet

And the people that are too frightened

We're veering in different directions

Life playing a string of games

And I don't know if I want to keep kicking goals

When the impurity

In my own demise

Seems like the biggest act of rebellion

My unfit mind can fathom.

Out with a bang,

Civilian casualties in the making.

Louder:

The noise

Will never be enough

The louder it goes

The less anyone knows

The screams slipping out beneath the bathroom door

Dancing on hardwood floor.

The noise is still not enough

And I'll turn the volume up more

Louder and louder I implore

The levels until

My ears finally burst through

And the only noise

Will be the dull roar

Left in my head.
