Angel:

Clipped wings and shattered shoulder

Blades protruding skin

Shaking but do not hold her

Because her skin will burn

By any touch that is not him

Guilt and venom pouring from

Pale pores

Angel you have taken quite the fall

Purity destroyed, the golden glow

Around you diminished, bound to earth,

Nowhere to go

Angel with the clipped wings and

The mending shoulders

You are destined for below

Because I kicked myself out of the Heaven Gates

The moment I let myself

Touch another's skin.

Icarus:

Burning up at close proximity

Destiny to roam lonesome

Of fear of flame

And even to my mortal eyes it seems

Icarus was no man able to find a home

So close to the sun

And I suppose that was why

You couldn't be near me.

Feathers and candle wax melting

The closer you could see

Always retreat

From the flames too hot.
