Skyler (POV)

As Christopher left  the house, I took a relief breath, when he is around me I just can't breathe properly.

I made lunch and after having lunch, Dad, Mom, Tom and Me went for shopping.

After a long time we all are travelling together happily.

"Mummy, I want a huge gift" Tom said expanding his hand and showing how huge he want his gift to be.

"Okay", Mom said while keeping his eyes close.

"What is going on between you two?" Mom ask, still eyes closed.

"What?" I and Dad ask simultaneously.

"You and Christopher" Mom said smirkingly .

"What? Nothing is going on" I said and my breath caught in my lungs.

"I know, don't beat around the bush, I saw you two hugging each other" Mom said.

"Where you peeking in my room?" I ask.

"Yes, I was, because you both were taking too much time, so I thought something might be going on" she said in a monotone.

"There is nothing going on, he is just my best friend, Mom" I trail.

"Oh that is why, he was kissing your hand!" she said with a huge smile playing on her lips.

"Mom, we decided that you will not peek in someone else room, without their permission" I said.

"I'm sorry, but now answer my question" she said again coming back to the point.

"He asked me out" I said as fast as I can.

"Wow, I wasn't expecting that!" Both Mom and dad said at the same time.

"Well, even I wasn't expecting that, he just asked me out and nothing else"I said trying to not make it a big issue.

" So when you both are going out on a date , and what's the plan?"Mom ask.

" On Christmas, and around four o'clock and we will b back till nine o'clock "I said.

" Oh, okay, then you need to get a perfect dress"she said as excitement dances over her brain.

I've been thinking a lot of him, Sometimes I feel like I like him, and sometimes I get the feeling of nothing. My whole emotions are mixed.

I plug in my earphone and start listening my favorite song, Can't help falling in love with you by Elvis Presley. It's all time favourite and my all time favourite song is also ' The way you look tonight ' by Frank Sinatra. You should always hear the words which are meaningful, so I basically love songs which contains huge emotions, happiness, and the song which can bring tears to your eyes every time you listen it.

I continued listening and humming songs until we reach mall.

"Tom! Tom! get out we are here" I said as I try to wake him from  his sleep.He looks so cute when he is asleep ,I'm sure he is going to be handsome in his upcoming teenages life.But being handsome is not all we human desire,we appreciate handsomeness sometimes,we human seek for humor,  person capacity to hear us out ,understand other humans behaviour ,try to help out ,only some people seek for handsome and cute people other then that I guess people should stop being racist and should love people in every condition .

I carried him out,and we walked out ,we went in and started what we want ,I was in another aisle searching for a decent cloth for date as well as for Christmas,after walking around for another hour I found a Red lacy knee length skirt which has a white border around the bottom which make it look more elegant.

I went to search Mom, Dad and tom but they were nowhere to be seen .I called dad.

"Dad where are you? is everything okay?" I ask as my gut feeling was  saying nothing is okay.

'Just come by our car, your mom is not able to breathe properly, just come fast" he said and cut the call. I ran towards our car. I spot my dad, mom and tom.

"What happen? Is she okay now?" I ask as I took my mom hand in me, she was sweaty and sweat were dripping from her face constantly.

Her breath got normal after few minutes, and dad started driving.

"When she started feeling like this?" I ask as we all comfortably sat in our site.

"Just when you left, she was looking something for you then she fainted there suddenly "he said in a monotone. His face clearly shows how she is feeling. I feel so bad for my dad.

" Dad!" I said.

"What?" he asked.

"Will she be alright in future, tell me truth dad, you are not hiding anything from me, are you?" I said looking outside the car, feeling the wind against my face.

Mom was asleep and she was snoring that means she is deeply in sleep.

"We went to the hospital while you were in school , we met your mom's doctor, and he said your mom is getting weaker and weaker day by day, she is  unable to handle the medicines ,as the medicines are of high power ,because of which she is getting through all this ,once her medicines course and therapy is over only then she will feel better like completely better, after finishing her therapy course she has to continue, she has to take vitamin and some other medicines for  years" He said.

"Oh! But she will be fine? She will be better?" I ask.

"Yes she will be, believe in god , but Doctors said for last ten therapy she have to be shifted to North Carolina state, last few therapy are available here but they said that if we continue her therapy here she will have to take two months break after each therapy ,that is way too long, and if we continue her therapy in North Caroline her therapy will be finished within one year ,they have advance machines and have more good doctors from here "he said still managing his eyes on road.

"So what is your plan then? "I ask as the fear of losing people back here starts creeping me up.

"I don't know, I'll think about it later, but I want my beautiful wife to come out of this as fast as she can "he said.

"yeah, that's what we all want " I said and saw my dad taking some other route.

"Dad you are taking some another route?" I ask.

"Yes, because we are going to your maternal grandmother home, you mom said she wants to see them ,so we are going there and we are going to stay there for two days, your mom insisted" I replied.

"Dad, but I've school tomorrow and I can't miss school, we are getting lots of projects and homework so I want to attend all that lectures" I said as I remember Christopher saying that we were getting projects.

"Okay, so first I'll drop you home and then we will move on "he said and took a turn.

"Dad just stop here I'll take a cab "I said and he stopped.

He pulled over and I got down collecting all my things which I got from there.

" Bye Dad"I said and kissed mom and tom cheeks.

"Bye, Take care,don't sleep before making sure you eat something" he said and drove past me.
