I am sooooooo sorry that I haven't updated in so long. I've been pretty busy. So here is this. Enjoy 😊

****************************************

Mike's POV

My eyes widened as I realized what she said.

"She said she loved me. She said she loved me. She really said she loved me. Maybe she was just tired. She probably doesn't know what it really means. To say it to a guy," I thought to myself.

I smiled to myself in the dim lit room. She was basically on top of me. I blushed freely, knowing that I wouldn't be caught by anyone.

"Shit," I whispered. I had to figure out how to get her off of me without waking her up. Why did I have to leave? Uhhhhhggggg. I never wanted to leave her ever again.

Will's POV

[7:00 PM]
I looked from my wrist to the road. I walked faster down the road, raindrops starting to fall on my hair.

"Oh man. I hope Dustin covered for me," I shuddered, thinking of what my mom would say if I wasn't home.

The rain started pelting my shoulders, wetting my face. I shivered as the water chilled my bones.

I started to run as fast as I could towards my house. I sighed, seeing the familiar light from my room shining in the dark and stormy night.

The window was closed as I went to the lit up room. Jumping over the bushes, I knocked quietly on the glass. Dustin's face appeared in the window, scaring me.

He slid it open, "Where have you been lover boy?" He smirked at me.

"Shut up," I exclaimed, hoisting myself into the window, "It takes about 15 minutes to walk there and we talked for a while and then 15 minutes back. In the rain."

Dustin choked, "Will, you were gone longer than 45 minutes!"

My face turned red, "Maybe I walked slower than I usually do."

"Is that so?" Lucas emerged from the other side of the door, gently closing it behind him.

"When did you get here?"

Lucas opened his mouth but Dustin shushed him, "Not important," he turned back to me, "What happened with Lauren that made you walk slower?" Dustin was holding in laughter and had an immature grin on his face.

"Real mature man," Lucas commented from his seat on the floor.

"Really Dustin?" I huffed, "Lauren and I just talked and she..."

"She what?"

"She kissed me...again."

Dustin squealed and jumped in the air. Lucas covered his ears.

"Dude! Keep it down! My mom is trying to sleep!" I punched Dustin's arm, "And she only kissed my cheek. It's not that big of a deal."

"Enough of a big deal to walk slower, thinking about it!"

"Just leave it Dustin," Lucas looked up from the comic he was skimming.

"Well do you wanna tell us why you were late?"

"No."

Dustin and I looked at each other. He nodded.

"Madmax!"

Lucas's POV

"Oh my god guys."

"So you were with Max!" Dustin grinned at me.

"Fine I was with Max! Happy?" I exclaimed, slightly irritated. It was personal. I didn't need to tell them. Not yet. I was glad Dustin was finally over Max.

"Oooooo!" Will teased, poking me.

"Leave me alone. I just want to read this comic!"

"Sooooo. What happened? Give me the juicy details," Dustin sat in front of me, eyes shining like a girl with new gossip.

"You sound like a little girl."

Will nodded, "You really do."

"Stop it. You are avoiding the question Lucas!" Dustin frowned.

"Fine! I met her at the Field okay? We talked that's all!"

Will raised his eyebrows. I gave him a hard look. His face became serious again.

Dustin narrowed his eyes, "If you're lying...well okay. That's good enough," he leaned back against the wall, "We should get some rest."

Will laughed, "You? Wanting to sleep? What a surprise!" Dustin punches him in the arm as Will doubled over laughing.

Will snuggled into the sleeping bag on the floor as did I. Dustin was passed out with a chocolate bar in both hands. Double fisting again. I rolled my eyes then frowned, confused. How did he get chocolate? He didn't have it five minutes ago. It's like Dustin magically conjured candy whenever he wanted it.

I looked over at Will, who had a worried look on his face.

"Will, what's wrong?"

He put his palm on his forehead, "I forgot to tell Dustin to do his homework."

I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

Mike's POV

I gently lifted El's head off of my chest and onto the pillow beside us. I scooted out from under her, lifting her legs off of mine. She didn't stir. Thank god.

I slid to the edge of the bed and looked back at her. She was still fast asleep on top of the covers. It was relatively cold in the little room with the window still cracked, the February chill blowing into the room. I took off my sweatshirt and covered her in it as best as I could. She was so small. The sweatshirt basically covered her curled up body completely.

I smiled, touching her curls. She was the most peaceful and beautiful creature I had ever seen in my life. She was my happiness and she was perfect. And I knew I loved her. I knew from the moment I laid my adolescent eyes on her rain-soaked face that I would fall desperately in love with this tiny girl. And even if it was only in a dream that she told me she loved me, it was good enough for me.

I leaned down and touched her soft lips with mine for only a brief moment. I couldn't resist. I brushed my knuckles across her cheek and turned to leave.

"I love you. Goodnight baby girl."

And with my heart left behind for her in that room, I swiftly jumped out the window and mounted my bike. Rain pattered on my hair, curling the brushed out strands as I rode into the darkness.

Sooooo? How did you guys like it? I wasn't very inspired until I got to Mike's last point of view. I love writing this so much and I love that all of you read it. It means the world to me ❤️ This chapter was literally hard to write because I have fake nails that I just put on and they're kind of annoying 😂 and I'll probably update tomorrow morning and maybe Sunday as well so stay tuned and check your updates!
