the call that changes it all

I hear chloe marching down the steps then the door open and close. I finally have time to think. My mind runs through thoughts.

"Lilly!" i hear from downstairs

I get up and run down the stairs.

"Yes?"

"Someone is on the phone for you" he said as his eyes teared up

I reluctantly took the phone

"Hello?"

"Lilly?"

"Yes?"

"I dont know how to say this but this is your father."

My heart drops i look at logan who is crying i can only imagine what hes feeling right now.

"You cant be the orphanage told me you and mom died"

" lilly you were 4 years old, i was drunk and your mom was trying to protect you, i wasnt thinking right and i beat her to death."

"No...no"

" yes, after that happened i was put in prison but i got a early release because ive been good"

At this point i was crying. Logan looked at me " im sorry" he mouthed. I looked at the ground

" why are you calling?"

" well they said that as long as i can be responsible i can have you"

I honesty i didnt know what to think. This is the worst day ever.

"Dad, sorry but...i dont want to"

" ill be getting you at 7pm"

He said totally ignoring me.

He hangs up and i look at logan i drop the phone and without caring logan grabs me. He hugs me and it feels like he doesn't want to let go. A tear rolls down my cheek "i dont want to leave" i said and he squeezed me even more "i dont want you to leave either" he said and let me go. I looked into his eyes then at the ground. He took a deap breath...
" it hurts me to say this but...go pack your stuff" he said then looks away "Your just going to let the man that killed my mom with his bare hands take me?"
"Lilly, i have no choice he is your legal dad" he said " NO, you are my legal dad" i said feeling unimportant he grabs my shoulder "do what i said" i turned around and walked towards my room

(Flash back)

MELISSA'S P.O.V. (lillys mom)

" mommy" lilly cried i picked her up "dan, leave" i said with all my might he through a vase across the room i bolted for the stairs with lilly in my right arm crying and screaming i go into her nursery. "Shhh baby girl be quiet" i say so that dan cant hear me we walk to the dark corner and i take out my phone. I set her down on my lap

" 911 whats your emergency?"

"My husband"

"What do you mean your husband?"

" hes drunk, hes mad at me and hes going crazy"

Lilly lets out a sneeze and i cover her mouth

" who else is there with you?"

" just me and my 4 year old daughter, please hurry i need police"

" address?"

" 527 duffrin street"

" ok we have police comming to help"

" ok..ok but hurry hes comming"

I stay silent until the door slams open. The handle hits the wall and it brakes the wall. It makes a really loud sound.

"Hello, are you and your child ok?"

I say nothing

"Hello?"

My husband walks to the corner.

I hand the phone to lilly and she puts it to her ear.

"Hello?"

"Hi"

"Who is this?"

"Lilly"

"Hi lilly were is your mom?"

"Talking to my dad"

" is she ok?"

"She is crying i think
Wait...STOP Get away from mommy"

"Lilly?"

*beeeeepppppp*

(Present time)

I walk to my dresser and grab all my clothes first. Then i grab all my bed sheets/ blankets. Every thing. Logan comes in "ill take your bed and stuff like that to you tomorrow in the yeti" he said i nodded i looked at my phone it was 6:45. Logan walked up to my and pulled me into his chest I nuseled my head into his chest "dont let go" i said and he squeezed me "i will try" he said. I pulled away and grabed my suit cases, and some boxes logan helped me carry them. In the living room kelly runs up to me "i love you" she said and i smiled " i love you too" i say. We walk out of the door and its 6:55 now,
About 2 seconds later a white car pulls up. The man that i recognize from my nightmares is standing infront of me.
