"It's 1, 2, 3, and then on 4 we turn, okay?" Jimin tells me for about the 5th time.
"Okay," I nod.
We try the dance one more time only to have me miss the count yet again.
"Hey, is something wrong? This isn't like you," Jimin stops the music.
I let out a long sigh, sliding down the wall to sit on the floor. Jimin slowly walks over, plopping himself next to me worriedly. I lean into him, placing my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes.
"The most outrageous thing happened to me this morning," I finally explain.
"What happened?" He asks softly.
I open my eyes slightly so that I can see his expression in the mirror in front of us. The practice room is silent with just the two of us occupying the space.
"PD-Nim wants Jungkook and I to date,"
"WHAT?!"
I laugh, "you sound the same as Yoongi Hyung,"
"But why?" He continues.
"Because of what Jungkook said in the interview. People think we kissed before I Need You, and apparently if we aren't dating it's a crime," I readjust my head on on his shoulder.
"Seriously? But no one can prove that you actually did, it's just a stupid rumor," Jimin face holds a scowl.
"That's what I said... but Jungkook thinks it's a good idea and eventually we'll just have a mutual break up because we will decide that we're 'better as friends'," I use my fingers as quotation marks.
"Jungkook, that little shït," Jimin mumbles.
"What? He's just obeying what PD-Nim wants. If anything I'm being ridiculous," I breath out.
Jimin remains silent for a few moments before saying, "Are you blind?"
"Hm?" I lift my head off his shoulder to look at him.
"RaeJae, it's obvious that Jungkook li- never mind," He shakes his head.
"No, what?" I press for an explanation.
"It's nothing, but it's not like when you and Jungkook kissed before it meant anything. Neither of you even remember it well," He shrugs.
"Right. And kissing someone doesn't always mean anything anyway," I start to draw circles on the floor with my finger tip.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that if you kiss someone, but you don't actually feel a certain way towards them, it doesn't really mean anything," I further explain.
"So it doesn't count?"
"Right,"
"So it's like a free pass?"
"Right, well, kind of," I furrow my eyebrows.
"So if you and I kissed right now, would it mean anything?"
His question surprises me, and I don't know what to make of it. I lean my head back on his shoulder to avoid eye contact and stare at him in the mirror instead.
"I don't know," I reply simply, not knowing what else to say.
