Chapter 14 - Orientation

Sinagtala Grocery Store

After breakfast Sunshine and Jorge drives to Sinagtala Grocery store. The store is already open and they could not believe that the store is this busy because customers are all coming in as early as seven in the morning. Every employee that she and Jorge bumped in always has a warm smile for them. Some are people they know, other are just familiar faces while most are new faces for them.

"Ate Sinag" someone they know calls her

"Ruel, kamusta ka na?" Sunshine happily greeted him

"Ay sorry, ma'am Sunshine na pala dapat ang itawag ko sa yo kasi boss ka namin parang si sir Benji" Ruel said

"Ok lang naman Ruel, kahit anong itawag mo sa akin" Sunshine replied

"Hindi ko pinapayagan ang ganyang tawagan dito" Sunshine heard her Tatay Teddy said

"Tay, bakit nandito kayo sa store, di ba dapat nandun kayo sa opisina nyo. Ang dami na pong tao masama po sa inyo ang mapagod" Sunshine concernly uttered

"Sumunod ka sa akin sa opisina Sinag, marami akong kailangan sabihin sa yo" Tatay Teddy authoritatively said

"Mauuna na po muna ako Mang Teddy, may pupuntahan po kasi akong kamag-anak ni Mama sa Sariaya" Jorge said

"Sasabayan mo ba akong mananghalian Jorge?" Tatay Teddy asked

"Hindi na po siguro, malamang dun na po nila ako pakainin" Jorge said

"Mag-ingat ka sa pagmamaneho kung ganon" Tatay Teddy said

"Maraming salamat po" Jorge replied

"Susunod na lang po ako sa office mo Tay. Ihatid ko lang si Jorge sa kotse" Sunshine said then Tatay Teddy nodded and walks to the second floor.

Holding hands, Sunshine and Jorge walks their way to the car. Jorge grabs her for a goodbye hug upon reaching his car. "Wag masyadong masungit ha" he whispered so Sunshine taps him lightly

"I'll try" Sunshine playfully said

"Don't try, just do it" Jorge said then kisses her temple before he finally gets in the car

"Make sure to be back before dinner" Sunshine said

"Of course sweetheart, ayokong ma-miss mo ako sa dinner" Jorge teasingly said and winks at her before he finally went off. Sunshine smiles at Jorge's gesture because only few of his friends know his true sexual preferences. For those who do not know them pretty well will seriously see them as a couple truly in love with each other.

"That was sweet but I suggest that you and Jorge should tame a little bit. Parang hindi mo kilala ang mga tao dito" she heard Benji commented

"We don't do anything wrong and it is not our fault if people would put malice on how Jorge and I treated each other. This is the tamest that you can get, imagine how we are in Paris" Sunshine said. She could not understand but she felt happy seeing how annoyed Benjamin Rosales is.

"The store opens at six in the morning, you are late since you arrived after seven" Benji said

"This is still an orientation" Sunshine reacted

"Don't you remember, pinagsabay na natin ang talagang hands-on training at orientation" Benji grumpily uttered. "Kanina ka pa hinihintay ni Tito Teddy sa office nya, ang tagal kasi ng paalamanan nyo ni Jorge, parang hindi na kayo magkikita mamaya" he added and walks out on Sunshine.
