Unit 715 - GabRo’s Residences
Sunshine extended her training hours in RHC office despite Marj’s reminder that she does not need to memorize every single detail in their clients and suppliers’ folder. She only told Marj that she just want to show Benji that she is doing her homework despite his absence and she was relieved that Marj accepted her alibi. But in reality she just wanted to use her time to something worthy and deal with her soaring insecurities with a certain lady she has not met yet.
Benji’s text message adds up to her gloomy mood. She admits being too excited to see him before the end of her day. His presence would somewhat lessen her uncertainties. The saddest part is, she does not receive any call nor a single message from Benji after he informed her that he will be traveling back to Manila the next day instead of tonight.
She arrived at her unit a little before midnight, though she promises Marj that she’ll be leaving RHC before the clock hits eight in the evening but she felt that the folders in front of her would help her forget whatever fears she currently has. She even cancelled her dinner invitation to Katrina and Jorge because she does not like her friends to see how low-spirited she is right now. She wanted to be alone and solely lick on the wounds in her heart that she herself has created.
She prefers to stay in the terrace to get some fresh air. Her heart races when she sees that the light in Benji’s unit is turned-on, thinking that Benji have changed his mind and travels back to Manila after the Subic event. But her hope suddenly fades when she sees a close door in the terrace. She smiles a bit and shook her head upon remembering how she calls his attention about turning off the light whenever he leaves his unit. He hasn’t change, Benji has this behavior since high school, and she remembers how his Dad keeps on reprimanding him about turning off the lights and aircon in his room everytime he leaves.
She went inside after a while and chooses to lock herself in her room and just let herself fall into sleep without eating anything at all. She does not have the appetite and just wanted to sleep to at least forget the feeling of uncertainties. She wakes up at her growling stomach, it is a little before one in the morning when she checks on the time. She went out of her room to brew her coffee and toast some bread and butter. She went back to her room after consuming her food but she could no longer go back to sleep so she went out in the terrace to get some fresh air again and was very surprise to see who’s in her neighbor’s terrace is.
“Benji?” Sunshine surprisedly said
“Sinag, gising ka pa pala, your lights are off that’s why I presume that you are already asleep?” Benji said
“Anong ginagawa mo dito, sabi mo umaga ka pa darating” Sunshine asked
“Hinahabol ko kasi yung ka-midnight snack date ko eh, kaya lang mukhang na late na ako kasi her lights were already shuts off when I arrived a few minutes ago” Benji said
“Hindi na kasi nag expect yung ka date mo. Nagtext ka naman daw na hindi na kayo matutuloy sa mid night snack date nyo” Sunshine replied
“I hope she had fun having dinner with her close friends, I wonder what she had for dinner” Benji said
“She had toast bread with butter plus brewed coffee” Sunshine replied
“Grabe naman, kung ako ang kasama nya sa dinner, I won’t let her eat toast bread and butter only. Lagot sa akin yung mga friends nya, hindi man lang sya pinakain ng maayos” Benji said
“She had her dinner alone. She cancelled her dinner date with her friends” Sunshine said
“Why would she do that?” Benji asked
