Benji reported at work passing nine in the morning. Though his mood is not as bad as the previous day, Marj is still hesitant to approach him to discuss about her vacation leave request. The fact that Benji reported for work with so much thoughts in his mind, it halted her to talk about her concern. It was already an hour later when she finally had the guts to talk to him.
“Sir, what do you want for lunch?” Marj asked but Benji remains staring outside. “Sir Benji, anong gusto mong kainin sa lunch?” she repeated
“Marj, can you please call GabRo’s receptionist, please asked her kung naibigay kay Sinag yung pinabili kong flowers” Benji instructed
“Ah ok sir” Marj replied and quickly went out of Benji’s office. After a while she went back to tell Benji what he wanted to know “Sir nai-akyat na daw po kay Sunshine yung flowers. Yung friend daw nya na si Jorge ang nagdala” Marj said
“What? Bakit si Jorge ang nagdala? Paano na kung sabihin nun na sa kanya galing yung flowers. Call that receptionist, at tanungin mo bakit hindi nya ginawa nang tama ang trabaho nya? Sa kanya ko iniutos yun bakit kung kani-kanino nya ipinapasa ang trabaho nya” Benji flared-up while Marj took a deep breath as she is starting to see a bad day for her Boss and as well as for her.
“Sinabi ko naman yan dun sa receptionist, nagmagandang loob lang naman si Jorge and offered na sya na lang ang magbigay ng flowers kay Sunshine tutal papunta na rin naman sya sa unit nya” Marj said to explain and pacify her boss.
“Get my Dad on the line, that employee needs to be reprimanded. Since when pa sila basta nagpapa-diretso ng guest sa unit ng tenant? We have a strict policy that the tenant should meet their guest at the lobby” Benji said
“Unless the tenant informed the receptionist that the guest can go straight to the unit, Sunshine called the receptionist around five in the morning, instructing them to just let Jorge go straight to her unit. We have no grounds to reprimand the poor girl” Marj said
“Yung flowers, why would she let the guest do the job that she’s supposed to be doing? What if sabihin ni Jorge na sa kanya galing yung flowers” Benji said
“Meron ka naman sigurong nilagay na card, so malalaman pa rin ni Sunshine na sa iyo galing yung flowers” Marj calmly said while Benji continuously breathing deeply.
“Madaling tanggalin ang card” Benji irritably said
“Kumalma ka nga Benjamin at nawawala ang focus mo dahil sa pagseselos mo. Hayan ang telepono mo, may number ka naman ni Sunshine di ba, tawagan mo tapos itanong mo kung nagustuhan nya yung binigay mong bulaklak. Kapag nagpasalamat, ibig sabihin naibigay nang matiwasay ni Jorge ang mga bulaklak, kung hindi naman, ako ang magpapatanggal sa receptionist ng GabRo’s” Marj said. Benji just throw a blank stare at Marj, “Wag nang tumunganga, tumawag ka na agad at nag uumpisa na akong mastress sa yo” Marj said
Benji took his phone but before he could dial Sunshine’s number, her name flashes on the screen for a call. Benji quickly answer it with a large beam. “Good morning my starlight” he sweetly replied and Marj acted as if she is about to throw up upon hearing Benji’s greetings.
“Good morning Benji, thank you for the flowers” Sunshine replied from the other line
“Do you like it?” Benji asked while signaling Marj to leave the room so the latter left him alone
“Yeah, it’s beautiful. Nilagay ko na nga sa vase” Sunshine replied
“Ok that’s nice” Benji briefly replied. “Kakagising mo lang?” he asked to lengthen the conversation as he still does not want to end their conversation.
