Unit 715 – GabRo’s Residence
Sunshine wakes up because of the soft knocks at her door. It is only pass eight in the morning and she is not expecting Jorge and Katrina to arrive this early. She was surprised to see one of the building staff at her door steps carrying a paper bag and a box of roses.
“Good morning ma’am Sunshine” the building staff greeted
“Pinapabigay po ni sir Benji” he said then handed her the paper bag and the flowers
“Where is Benji? Bakit hindi sya ang nagdala nyan?” Sunshine asked
“Huh? Nakaalis na po si sir Benji, inutusan lang po nya ako na bilhin ang sandwich na ‘to at iakyat dito sa inyo, kasama nitong mga bulaklak?” The building staff explained
Realizing the she’s beginning to sounds to be somewhat of a demanding girlfriend, she sweetly smiles at the building staff to remove his tension. “I mean, bakit inutusan ka pa sa ganitong kaliit na bagay. Sige, tawagan ko na lang sya. Maraming salamat” she said then closes the door.
She castigated herself for that little outburst at the building staff. She prompted herself that she and Benji have not gone to the level of BF/GF in real sense. She just has to be thankful that Benji thought of her this early of the day.
She checks on what’s inside the paper bag after she puts the flower in the vase. A subway vegetable sandwich is inside the bag plus a handwritten note from Benji. “Good morning. ’Just want to make sure that you’ll not skip your breakfast. I’ll see you later Ma’am Sinag” is what the note says.
A simple note yet it gives her a happy heart which makes her quickly took out her phone and send a message to Benji. “Good morning sir Benji, Thank you for the subway sandwich. The flowers are beautiful too. Have a nice day” her message says. In less than five minutes her phone rings for a call from Benji, she immediately swipes it and vibrantly answers Benji’s call
“Good morning sir Benji, salamat sa pa-almusal” She cheerfully said
“Sorry ha, walang coffee kasi hindi ko po alam kung anong klaseng coffee ang gusto mo. Would you like to have one now para alam ko what to bring for you next time. Puntahan kita ngayon, nasa office lang naman ako, malapit lang dyan sa condo” Benji said
“It’s alright, meron namang canned fruit juices sa ref, ok na ‘to sa akin” Sunshine replied
“What do you usually have for breakfast?” Benji seriously asked
“Iba-iba, toast bread and coffee more often, kapag nakaluwag-luwag sinasamahan ko ng fruits. Bongga lang naman ang almusal ko kapag may show ako kasi complementary ng hotel, kaya bongga na ‘tong subway sandwich na padala mo” Sunshine replied
“I can send you some fruits if you like” Benji said
“No need, this is enough until lunchtime” Sunshine replied
“Sorry I could not join you later for lunch, may meeting kasi ako in an hour at malamang abutin na yun ng lunchtime” Benji apologized
“Grabe nakailang sorry ka na ba in less than five minutes? Ok lang ako, invited naman ako ni Marj sa lunch, treat daw nya ako kasi napapirma kita sa vacation leave request nya” Sunshine said chuckling
“Bakit hindi ako invited, It was me who approved that request” Benji teases
“I’m sure malapit lang naman sya sa iyo, bakit hindi sya ang tanungin mo?” Sunshine said
