Chapter 64 - Amendments

Sinag is mum about what she and Beverly have talked about and on the other hand Benji does not want to ask her. He wanted Sinag to initiate the discussion but he could not deny the anticipation on the result of Sinag's talk to her agent. Deep inside him is very happy on the sudden turn of events. But as promised, he gives the decision to Sinag. If she decided to abide her father he will be the happiest but if not, he will always be willing to wait for her, his way of showing Sinag his sincerity to his words.

Sinag is quiet while she and Benji are in their office in Sinagtala. She does not know how to start the conversation about what she and Beverly have talked about, she could not believe that she got chicken-out. She knows that Benji promises to wait for her until she is ready to settle down. But at that very moment she wishes him to break his promise and asked her again for her hand in marriage as she is now ready to say yes but could not get the right word to say it.

She reaches for that small box in her pocket. She brought the ring, just in case Benji opens up about what Tatay Teddy's desire for them to get married.

"Two things only my starlight" Benji said which makes her realized that she is in deep thought already and was not able to catch what Benji is discussing with her

"Huh? You were saying something?" Sunshine asked

"I said two things only" Benji replied

"What two things are you talking about?" Sunshine asked again

"There are only two things that make you unfocus. First, you missed me a lot that's why you could not help yourself but stare at me the whole time. Second, there is somethings that you want to tell me but you don't know how to start." Benji said

"Of course it's the first one, namiss naman kita talaga eh, mabuti na lang, you were able to close your deal sa Bicol, kaya nandito ka na. I don't have to wait for weekend para makita kita ulit" Sunshine said

"You are ntot really good in lying. I know it isn't really about the first, kasi if you truly missed me,malamang kanina ka pa nakaupo dito sa tabi ko at hindi dyan sa desk mo. Obviously it is the second. Come on, spill it, what is it that you want to talk to me about" Benji said

"Am I really that transparent?" Sunshine asked

"Nope, I just know you too well" Benji replied "What is it that is bothering you? If it is about sa wedding, wag ka nang ma-stress, kakausapin ko na lang ulit si Tito Teddy. Madali naman kausap si Tito Teddy eh, lambingin mo lang at wag mong kontrahin. Malamang nabigla lang yun sa revelation ni Ninay kaya ipinilit na naman yung gusto nya. Wag mo nang isipin yun ha" Benji said and Sunshine just nodded

With that statement from Benji, it only proves that he will not initiate the proposal this time. She has to think of a tasteful way where she could tell Benji that she is only waiting for him to ask her again, but would not obviously shows that she wanted him to ask her again.

"Beverly will be coming here tomorrow. I told her about Tatay's concern and she told about a clause in my contract where in after two years we could review it and make some amendments. Two years na yung contract next month. Open na yun for amendments" Sunshine said

"Great, that's a good news. You could ask her to just book shows for you in Manila or you could ask to lessen your out of the country shows, so you don't have to stay in Paris anymore. That way pwede ka nang mag-aral ulit like what you've wanted. I'm sure Tito Teddy will be very happy to know that, sana sinabi mo na sa kanya kanina para hindi na nangulit" Benji said
