The next kiss lasted longer than the previous one. That moment, Sunshine does not care about her inhibitions on the possibility of going into a serious relationship with Benji, what matters for her is Benji and her screaming feelings for him.
“You are right, it is sweeter than the first time but that first kiss cannot be forgotten” Benji said
“Sira ka rin kasi” Sunshine said chuckling while she and Benji continue enjoying their dance
“Actually, the feelings is the same as the first time, hindi ko pa rin alam kung kanino yung malakas na heartbeat na naririnig ko, kung sa iyo ba o sa akin. But from whoever heartbeat that was or that is, it made me very happy because the important thing for me is I get to kiss the only girl that I wished to kiss” Benji said while Sunshine chooses to just stare at him. “Pero sana hindi katulad nung first time na hindi mo ako pinansin ng tatlong araw. Sana after this kiss, I still get stare at you as close as this, hold you as gentle as this” Benji said
“Hindi ka kasi nagpaalam dati” Sunshine said
“I was eaten by my jealousy at Christian then, kasi naman you choose him to be your prom date that night instead of me tapos ang lakas pang makainit ng ulo nung prom dress mo” Benji said
“Christian asked me first. Atsaka hindi ka naman nabakante nung JS Prom natin, you were Trisha’s date remember? Mr. Prom King escorting the Prom Queen” Sunshine replied.

Eight years ago at St. Catherine High School
Sinag turned down Benji’s request to be her date at their Prom Night because she already accepted Christian’s request to be his prom date.
“I’m sorry Benji, nag yes na ako kay Christian na sya ang prom date ko. Actually, before Christmas pa sya nagsabi at paulit-ulit rin pati si Aling Gloria kaya pinagbigyan ko na. Honestly, I am not expecting you to ask me to be your date sa prom. I thought you’ll ask Trisha to be your date” Sinag told Benji.
“I guess mag-isa na lang akong pupunta sa JS Prom. I don’t want to miss it kasi alam kong aattend ka” Benji said
“Sorry talaga” Sinag apologized again
“It’s alright, I understand, makikita pa rin naman kita sa Prom kahit hindi ako ang date mo” Benji sadly said
On their JS Prom night, Benji in his formal black suit and Trisha in her long v-neck dark blue chiffon formal dress with side slit arrived at the SCHS auditorium where the Prom will be held. The first thing that Benji did was to look around to find Sinag. He did not know what time did Christian pick her up because he leaves early to get Trisha as he is her date.
“Ayun na si Helen, tara Benji dun tayo sa table nila Helen” Trisha said while pulling Benji to their reserved seat. Despite being with Trisha, Benji was restless since he hasn’t seen Sinag at the venue yet.
After a few minutes of waiting, Sinag arrived with Christian. The young gentleman arrived in a formal suit while his date was in an inch above the knee length, short sleeveless and light pink lace cocktail dress, accessorized with a simple set of pearl earrings and bracelet.
“Maganda yung dress nya, pero hindi bagay sa kanya. Obvious na hiniram lang nya” Trisha bravely commented so Benji throws a fierce look at his date.
Benji could not take off his eyes on the pair at the entrance of the auditorium, that time he does not see any other girl but Sinagtala Obispo alone. He was in awe in her simple yet elegant look. As much as Benji wanted to say hi to Sunshine, their respective dates prevented them by being too clingy. A smile from Sinag somewhat lessen Benji’s frustration of not being her date that night.
