Weeks came and went, Yoongi and Jin still couldn't eat together at lunch. Yoongi was still getting in trouble. Everyday was just more of the same thing, the only difference was the fact that Halloween was next week. Soon everyone was going to be completely high off sugar and even more annoying. Yoongi and his friends always went trick or treating together, this year was no different. The group excitedly planed costumes and different routes, they wanted to get the most amount of candy in the least amount of time."We should go to the rich neighbourhood, I heard they give full size chocolate bars." Hoseok excitedly schemed.
"That's not true, everyone just thinks they do. So there's always lots of people. If you go to a street without kids they'll give more candy." Namjoon reasoned. The group was sat in his living room, they needed a game plan. Namjoon had a map of the neighbourhood laid out in front of everyone. He drew a line showing where they'd be going.
"Memorize this path. We meet at the swings at 5. We will leave without you if you're late." Yoongi said, everyone nodded in agreement.
.......
"How come you never talk to me outside of lunch?" Suran asked out of no where. Suran was shewing on her hair at the time, she was strange but Yoongi liked that about her. Suran and Yoongi spent all lunch together talking and becoming friends but they never actually hung out.
"Don't know. I just don't usually hang out with girls." Yoongi explained. It was the truth, he didn't have any girl friends.
"Hun...do you think we have cooties or something?" She asked leaning into him, he moved back. She giggled at Yoongi's reaction.
"You do think we have cooties, don't you."
"No i don't."
"Yes you do."
"No, I really don't." Yoongi defended. He didn't appreciate people making fun of him.
"Really prove it! Hangout with my friends and I at recess." She bartered. Yoongi really didn't want to give up his recess, he wanted to play basket ball with his friends. But, at the same time he wanted to prove Suran wrong. After a few minutes of contemplation he finally answered.
"Fine."
"Great, my friends and I will meet you at the basketball court." When she finished talking the bell rang and Suran got up and left.
Just like promised Suran and her friends, Irene, Wendy and Jieun waited for Yoongi to show up. He was walking with Jin who asked why the girls were on their court.
"Hey Yoongi, I think you've met my friends before." She said pointing to the three others, Yoongi could already tell this recess was going to be really awkward. Jin gave him a pat on the back then walked to meet the rest of his friends.
"So what are we gonna do anyways? You aren't gonna do my hair and all that are you because if so I might-"
"Don't be silly, we just want to play basketball with you guys." Suran cut him off. A wave of relief rushed over Yoongi.
"Well in that case, let's get over there." The girls all introduced themselves, the boys followed suit and both groups became acquainted. They played in teams of five, there were three boys and two girls on each team just to be fair. The girls skill became apparent while playing.
"They're kicking our butts now." Hoseok complained to Yoongi about the other team. Usually they sucked but today, they did really well. Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Wendy and Irene mads up one team. The rest made up the opponent. They huddled together to form a game plan.
"Wendy you go up left, Jin go right, I'll go up the center. Hobi you gotta do the face off you're the tallest here." Yoongi was acting as a coach for this 'friendly' game. Originally it had just been a bunch of friends fooling around but it started becoming serious. Jungkook and his little friends even came to watch.
"Okay, we can do this!" Hobi shouted and their huddle broke. The game resumed and all hell broke loose. Jimin not knowing his right and left just stayed where he was, Jin wasn't paying attention and ran right into Taehyung knocking them both down. Namjoon and Hobi did the face off but ended up butting heads. The only players left were Suran, Wendy, Jieun and Yoongi. Well more like Suran and Yoongi. Jieun wasn't really playing and Wendy was helping her other injured teammates.
The two glared at each other seeing who would make the first move for the ball. It was right behind Hobi, he was closest, he could probably reach it no problem. Yoongi boldly steps forward and snatches the ball from behind his fallen teammate. He begins running forward and stops. He aims he shoots, he missed. Suran got the rebound not even bothering to move to the other side of the court. She takes the shot, aiming over everyone's head and makes the basket.
In that moment Yoongi didn't have any clue what was going on in his mind, but when he looked at his friend he noticed something felt different. He started to notice how the sun reflected her hair and how her eyes had a certain shine to them. Yoongi started to realize that he was developing a crush on the basketball playing, trouble maker, Suran.
.......
The rest of the week Yoongi started spending more and more time with Suran. They ate lunch together, played basket ball together, heck he even walked home with her one day. He was completely entranced by her and didn't know why, feelings confused Yoongi. He constantly wanted to be around her, that sprung him to ask this question.
"Do you want to come trick or treating with my friends and I?"
"Yes, I'm sure my parents won't mind. Can I invite my friends?" She asked in return. Wow, that really worked. Yoongi didn't think she'd say yes.
"Um...a...yeah...sure the...a.. more the um... marier." Yoongi fumbled with his words. Why was he so excited? That day he ran to the bus line to share the good news with his friends, they however saw it a different way.
"Awe they're gonna ruin our fun. That Jieun girl is always freaking out over how cute the little brat is. And Wendy doesn't leave me alone, don't even get me started on Irene, the only cool one is Suran and you're gonna spend all your time with her!" Hobi unleashed all his feelings all at once. It was weird seeing him so upset over something so small, usually he was positive about everything.
"I can't exactly tell her not to come after inviting her, that would be rude." Yoongi reasoned. Hoseok wasn't having any of it.
"It was rude that you invited her without consulting us! But oh well, whatever! It doesn't really matter anyways." Hoseok was genuinely upset that the girls would be joining them. Hobi knew that if Suran was around she was going to take away his best friend, and Hobi didn't want that. When the bus arrived Hobi stomped in sitting in the front away from the rest of the group. The whole bus ride he sat and thought about his immense jealousy towards Yoongi's new best friend, Suran.
