When Hoseok walked into his home he was first met with the angry shouts from his mother. Followed by the angry shouts of his father, upset with him for making his mom angry. After all the tension died down, Hoseok walked into the kitchen making himself a snack. As he walked around the kitchen he noticed three nicely placed envelopes on the dining room table. They had been addressed to him and featured the logos of each university Hobi had applied to. After a small amount of thinking, Hoseok realized that they were his acceptance or denial letters.

Hoseok walked over to the table further examining the envelopes. If he were being completely honest, Hoseok was terrified to open them. These simple letters contained his whole future, he had worked so hard to get to this moment, and now everything was done. He was either accepted or denied and there was absolutely nothing he could do. Nervously, his hands shaking, Hoseok picked up the letters walking out of the kitchen completely forgetting about his snack. He walked into the living room sitting down on the couch looking at the mail.

"Those came in yesterday while you were at school, I didn't want to stress you out so I figured we would just wait until you found them on your own." Hobi's mother said standing next to the couch, looking over Hobi's shoulder as he shuffled between the three pieces of paper. Hoseok's hands continued shaking nervously until he heard the phone ring. Almost relieved that he didn't have to open the envelopes yet, Hoseok answered the phone. His mother let out a sigh before sitting down on the couch beside Hoseok trying to hear the phone conversation.

To none of their surprise, it was Yoongi calling, he had also received his letters. Unlike Hoseok, Yoongi only applied to two different universities. Well, one was a university and the other was a college. He knew that the older wasn't too keen on going to school, but Hoseok was glad that Yoongi still decided to at least apply.

"Can you wait a while so we can all open them together? I think Joon got his letters in the mail too." Yoongi suggested. Hoseok was quick to agree, not really wanting to experience this moment alone. For most people, this would just be like opening just another letter but for Hoseok this was opening the next chapter of his life.

"When will we be doing that?" Hoseok asked, he knew his parents didn't want to wait much longer, they had already been waiting all day. Hoseok could hear the sound of a keyboard over the phone before Yoongi answered.

"Joon said we could all meet at his house in about an hour, he also asked us to tell Jimin and Tae." Yoongi finally answered. Hoseok just agreed to the plans before hanging up his phone and returning it back to his pocket. Afterwards, Hobi explained the plans to his parents and then sent a quick text to Jimin and Tae. Their two younger friends were more than happy to accept the invitation, within no time Hoseok and his parents were on Namjoon's doorstep about to find out about the next chapter of their lives.

.......

"So who wants to open their letters first?" Namjoons mother asked the three boys, they were all sat around a table, the atmosphere not exactly tense but definitely not relaxed. As the words came out all three boys just pointed to each other until Namjoon came up with a good idea.

"How about we all just open them at the same time, we can just say where we got accepted afterwards?" Namjoon suggested as Yoongi and Hobi still pointed amongst each other. There was a dull ring of approval going through the room, soon enough the three soon to be college students were ripping into each envelope excited and terrified of what information they might contain.

Everyone's faces were almost unreadable as they sifted through the long letters, their eyes furiously darting from line to line, each eager to see those simple words, accepted or declined. The first one to reach the end was Namjoon, the boy shouting in excitement as he discovered that he was accepted into the elite business school he applied to. Everyone in the room cheered for the boy, slapping his back in approval and excitedly screaming about the future.
